Networked organisations ---in which all employees share responsibilities and work as a group of equals ---have a better chance of success than those with traditional hierarchies.

The time for resetting management has come...while hierarchies were the favoured form in the past they should not be the key-role in the next era of business . Hierarchies, characterised by tight-controls, centralised-decision making, and clear-cut job descriptions often alienate employees and create an individualistic work mentality . The best approach is to abandon them and create a workplace of shared responsibilities......

But lets be clear at this point....The need for LEADERSHIP will always exist .There will always be need for visionaries ,people who can influence others ...and people who can execute ...otherwise? how would anything be done ?....The changes we are calling for are how we manage and lead .

Make the debate more wonderful by forwarding your argues.....

I do not fathom what equal rights stand for. The rights with shared vision shouldering the the proportionate accountability move forward to increase the foot prints. The traditional workplace or system of hierarchy carries the force, charisma, vision, accountability ,of course with charted boundaries.

Very nice Mr.Jayanta Kumar.Today it is very important to have collective, shared, and participative approach in getting the things done which will create a good and enjoyable working environment in the organizations. The results are being achieved by groups/teams since everybody is interdependent to have control and coordination of various activities. It should be ensured that there is a proper communication channels from top to bottom level to maintain the effectiveness & performance.

Nobody is going to support the traditional boundaries in the present scenario. But, equal rights to the extent required shall only be aspired. There tend to be some limitations even. Boundaries shall be self-imposed by the individual. Everybody has his own duties as assigned. He or she can contribute to the extent. He/she should be given opportunity to give their opinions/views/objections. A congenial atmosphere shall prevail. Work can not be extracted putting some one under intense pressures. When there is a leader he will enjoy a position. Nobody can equal the positions anyway. Hierarchy will continue to exist, but a democratic environment shall be allowed to prevail.

Work place is equated to "bouquet", scented flowers and leaves of various species arranged in a group, bundled and tied in such a way that spells "joy" to the Receiver! Just imagine, if a person extends rose with leaves and thorns to greet you hand over the stem in haste, the thorn in the stem pierces your finger causing injury and blood, instead of joy! Therefore, an organisation should be like "bouquet", advocating equal rights for all, accepting and shaping every employee to contribute his/her best for the organisational growth!
