Neha, I agree with you ex-service mens are persons with extraordinary leadership qualities. And today corporates are badly in need of good leaders and if an ex-service man appears for a company they will select him without any hesitation.

Discipline is one of the major factor where corporates lack, so recruiting ex-service mens to the middle or top level will help to come out of this problem. And the organization will see good growth............

Thanks...

No! it is not that obvious for them. The basic reason is the work culture. in corporate world people need a thorough understanding of the subject and also many more diplomatic correlation in order to achieve any organisation's goal. It's not simply dealing with some peoples with no objectives but to follow the orders. In corporate world every one has it's needs, objectives and understanding over the matter. So ex-servicemen are not needed in this discipline.

I would like to add more to her points. In my previous organisation WIPRO one of the ex-serviceman is our HR. He is such a disciplined man while watching him itself we get more inspiration and we do adore his behaviour in the organisation. so its necessary for every organisation to place ex-serviceman in a leadership position inorder to cultivate discipline in corporates.

But for the relentless efforts by Director-General of Re-settlement, Major General Chatterjee, ex-servicemen getting into the corporates was a mere dream! Yes. They are provided with good opportunities in the corporates, had they enhanced their education and skills during service. Others are helped in getting Private Security Agencies mainly to cater to the PSUs of the country, with respectable income generation mode, petrol pumps and various other avenues!

I support the cause as corporate is more interested in employing graduate fools. They are interested to show off rather than quality.and it's not about following order instead every Army personnel is leader in himself.Corporate fools can't withstand them.

Yes, Ex-servicemen are looking for the second career with good background like MBA, MHRM, B. Tech, B.E  etc,.. with lot of experience so corporate world is missing the vital disciplined dedicated workforce. Only thing they are need to give orientation to particular org.

i feel it is not very easy for our ex-servicemen to serve the corporate sector. It is difficult to tap this human potential as they are spread across the nation on a vast scale. Many corporate companies are still unaware of their dedicated, disciplined and deliverable nature of work.

Corporates may make their entry easy by welcoming them and ask them to  go through a training which may bring them back to "this world". Their world, mostly dominated by  Court Marshalls, Bossisms,  etc. might not have allowed them free thinkings.

We are not challenging their patriotism and their urge for sticking to deciplines. They are the true hero of our motherland. Most of them have dedication to become a leader of their own.

However, an Induction Traing may help them learn about Corporate lives and functioning of society of civilions.

Hi friends I think it is not easy for a ex-service men to enter the corporate industry. It is totally a different world which is new to them. As they do not suite for that culture and it will be difficult for them to handle the employees too. Their way of treating will be different and many of us may not like it. So there are chances for misunderstanding and problems.

So I feel this may be the reasons why ex-service mens are not preferred  in corporates.....
