Shopping online does carry some risk, but so does shopping at brick-and-mortar stores. At least online shoppers don't need to worry about fender-benders in the parking lot, pick pockets at the mall, or getting the flu from all those fellow shoppers. But the nice thing about shopping online is that by following some basic guidelines you can be reasonably sure you'll have a safe experience. Secure your PC Click with care Know the merchant Pay by credit card Know the real price Happy returns Read the privacy policy I think if above things are implemented then, the odds of your being victimized by online fraud are pretty low --

It's as safe as normal shopping..!
All eMarketing concepts rely on big partners as - PayPal, Visa, etc and all are secured under SSL 32-bit encryption..
Vital point is - Do check the product model physically not as seen on TV; before you buy.
So say cheers to new online carts and marketing concepts. Internet is the future!

Online shopping, the latest trend among shoppers is also a victim to the fad of brand recognition. However, the fact to be remembered here is that trust does not come easily when it concerns the internet. Therefore, online branding is of utmost importance. With brand building comes trust and loyalty and the assurance that the a particular e – store could be trusted upon with our money in return to the commodities we purchase. It is easy for a customer to identify himself with a brand, even though it is on the net. For instance, Amazon.com, Ebay or RetailsDirect etc. Take eBay for example. eBay has very stringent rules when it comes to buying and selling online, not to say that there are no frauds. I have been into buying and selling on various eBay sites successfully. To me what is important is the feedback of the seller and the buyer. I would any day go with the buyer or seller who has at least 98% positive feedback. I would have bought close to 30 to 40 items online without any problems.......... There is a scope of returning the goods and getting back your money in full if you are not satisfied with the item that you have bought. Today, with many online stores having their own set of blogs and other social communities, the feel of actual shopping is being brought about, since networking involves a lot of interaction and sharing of opinions, it can be considered as an alternative to actual shopping.

Online shopping is not bad for company point of view but if we see customer point of view many customer dont believe in online shopping. Because there is a human tendency in Indian people that they wont buy the products untill they see it, feel it, test it etc. If services are availble online then it is ok but products shopping is not at all satisfy Indian people. Because there may be chance of getting damage products or other than what co. is displaying on online internet. So as far as shopping is concerned it may not be success particularly in indian market.

I don't think it is too much safe. We expose our pin number online which can result badly if comes under wrong hands. Also, while shopping, still there are many preople who prefer to feel the product rather than just seeing its picture online.
