Safety culture can not be made with a single day. From the school days onwards we have to start inculcating Safety culture and practices. Govt. should take a lead to incorporate the aspects in the curriculum. For the immediate purpose, the management of each construction company shall insist the safety standards to be implemented at site. In Saudi Arabia the organizations like ARAMACO and all make their own safety standards and insist that the contractors to get pre qualified before the tender is issued. Then they also monitor whether the standards are maintained at site. So a will is a must to ensure the safety at site. We all should acknowledge that Safety at the site is the responsibility of all;not safety departments alone. We shall remember this all the time. And also the safety's basic principle
