How the voice of Engineers should be listened

In india Every professional other than Engineers have the organisation which help them when there is somthing wrong with that particular community. For example the Doctor have thier associstion which is working for theirfor their interests in the country, Lawers have thier association which work for lawers when they want that their voice should to the highest level of countreis administarion to solve their problems.

Though the engineers are said to be pillers of the development of a country, but when these engineers are in problem there is no one who can listen their voice. For example, in todays economic condition, the engineers are first loosing their job and struggling for feeding their families.

These engineers give all the facilities to doctors, lawers, businessmen, politician,all citizens of the country like road, automobile, and.... for their comort and working day and night to support the country for the development.

And when they are in problem, no is there to support them, every day we are either reading or listening or watching on the TV that so many numbers of trained man power is reduced form so and so company, most of them are technical people  in the cat Diploma engineers, Graduate engineers.

Is this right that when they are need they are given job and when they are not in need they are sacked.

I stronly feel the requirement of some thing which can protect the interest of the engineers. The labour is protected by the countries Labour law but there is nothing  like this to protect the interest of the engineers.

i agree you i think engineers should also have organization which works in the intresets of the engineers they should also raise their voice.

yes sarvesh you are right to some extent but the problem is much bigger than we perceive. Engineers being "technically proficient" in a hot speciality, or retrained does not guarantee a job in today's market. This problems is faced by many laid-off engineers today. The problem is if companies stop dictating businesses on how they should control their expense, the company will close within three months & affect many families. It would be more dangerous & may not create employment later & those seeking job opportunities will suffer more. The situation is as such that companies have more control than anyone. So this is not the time to sit down & worry or protest. It would be proper to look for or create other opportunities rather than getting into those activities which will lead to more pains.....

Mr.Sarvesh i definitely support you.If we can have associatrions and committees for all other professions then why not Engineers who are the backbone for the development of the country.But i would also say that as Mr.Parag said that if we start protesting at this point of time then things will be more bad,instead we should not think the way that only engineers are being laid-off.People from all professions are feeling the heat of recession and they are finding ways to overcome that.

Very true. Engineers are the back bone of all technology based industries and most of them are good decision makers. 

However, the Sales guys often override them in decision making and HR in most companies get biased   influenced by the smart talk of sales guys. Most of the engineers do not believe in meaningless rhetorics and outward show of courtesies and therefore, dubbed as poor in communication skills.

Sales steal the glory of succesful contracts, while Technical guys get the blame for every failure.

Yes I strongly feel that engineers are not a bunch of sugarcane where the juice to be taken out utilise and thrown away.The one who does it does not deserve that post if not in extreme circumstances where layoffs is necessary but with proper compensation.People who use and throw engineers does not deserve to handle them.Yes engineers contribution is emense in all spheres and should be taken care of and provide safety and security of jobs at the upmost.

Dear Sarvesh you have pin pointed a very genuine issue.First of all we as Engineers are Divided on so many Basis to each other 1 Branch 2 Diploma & Degree Holder 3 Govrnment & Non Government Organisation basis 4 Same Branch with Different Field. Etc .So our Voice did not reach in a strong Manner To the Government & To the Top Bosses of Industry.As we grow older we become Safe and we do not feel much of the market problems.we become Mock Spectator & did not even Suggest/Protest The Management For no Lay Off or limited lay off .(1)I request The Top Engineering Bosses To Form a web site for all Engineering Persons could be United Within 2 Years with help of this website. (2) Government & Industery Should give Certain Type of Interest Free Loan at least 30% salary amount to the Engineers & Others Who have lost their job.

yes i do agree with parag on this that during a situation like this not only engineers but all other profession has taken a blow and businesses are down and consumer spending is less, and one can't have all the employees when there is no work at all, so one should venture into other fields and experiment...Don't worry sarvesh things will get better once the markets get stable...
