How the WHO telling that Swine Flu is attacked nearl 30 Crore people in INDIA?

In the NEWS paper I found that WHO ( World HEalth Organization) telling that there was nearly 30 Crore prople in INDIA. Here my question is how the WHO calculate that. And what are the precaution and healing methds that WHO supposed to INDIA.

Swine influenza is a respiratory disease of pigs. It was isolated in 1930. It is caused by Influenza type A which brings about the disease in pigs. This happens on a pretty regular basis and doesn’t cause many deaths in pigs. The pigs certainly get ill and it happens with a large number of pigs usually in the fall and winter months of the year. That is when most of the human population gets their versions of influenza injections as well, better known as “the flu shot”.

Well Mr. Jhon, whenever a big organisation like WHO or Ministry of health,India gives a figure, it is an estimation. Thats why they say "nearly about 30 crore people....". It may or may not be the exact figure. But it is very near to that. Normally, these type of cases are calculated on the basis of


* No. of cases registered
* No. of effected swine found...

Based on these data, they estimate a figure.
When it comes to remedies, the first thing they are doing is to make people aware of this disease and precautions. The second thing they are doing is to try finding mecine for that...
