it is the administration of the hospital, which determines the satisfaction levels of the patient.the adnmn. fixes up the charges, facilities, behavior pattern of the staff, access of patient to admn. and doctors.MANY a times it has been observed doctors want to offer philanthropic services to their patients, but the admn. does not let them do it purely for commercial gains.the recent row between medical insurance companies and hospitals is also due to the inflated charges that admin. pressurizes the doctors to quote to the patient leading to withdrawal of cashless services being offered to patients. Atrained Hosp Admin is never rude to the patients. He is kind, considerate and empathetic. He gets the work done by the Health care team purely based on his experience, wide exposure in handling all types of resources at his disposal and ofcourse with his Leadership qualities.
though the physician's role is important to save the life of the patient, ultimately it is the Hosp Administrator who provides the physician the logistic and other resourses. The onus of responsibility and accountability lies on the Hosp Administrator to generate, distribute and reallocate the resourses for health care. So, the role of Hosp Admin is considerably more important than the Physician.
Healthcare delivary is the role of both doctors as well as that of Hosp Administrotors and other paramedics as it's a Team work. But overall responsibility and accountability is that the Hosp Administrator as he being the Team Leader does both the Plng and Execution of the Patient Care Delivary System
Doctors are always responsible but the administration is very irresponsible and rude towards the patients. This hurts patients to a large extent..... So administration should be proper to make patients satisfy with the service......
I believe if there are good hospital managers who are very prompt in taking corrective action to improve the hospital system but on the other side doctors alone are not important for the patient satisfaction. By

The role of doctor is ultimate, because the patients arrives at a hospital with an ailment, their ultimate goal is to get rid of the ailment. It depends on the treatment provided by the doctor. At the same time I cant deny the role of hospital administration in giving satisfaction to the patient. But, it is a supporting factor only.
Patient satisfaction depends primarily on whether that person had cured of his/her illness or not. And that depends entirely upon the expertise of the doctor alone. Even the biggest names in hospitals may not have good administration. But still renowned for their world-class treatment by the doctors. Attractive buildings & receptionists don't satisfy patients.
