The need for a corruption free state will have to be realised by every citizen. It's not only the politicians or the govt responsible for it. Corruption is deep rooted in the pschyce of the hoi polloi. It has become part of working culture of many of the offices in India. A large scale awareness needs to be imparted to the mass. People have to be conveyed the quantum of loss, a country & the people themselves face, when a single act of corruption is committed. And the mass should form a general opinion about exemplary punishment when one is caught for such a heinous act.

Well said Srinivaji, "Every body talks about corruption free India, but he wants it to start from his neighbors door not from his house." Frankly this statement sums up what is reprehensible in our society. Love mudslinging but hate responsibility. To borrow a phrase used on Toostep we are more of spoil t brats

I agree with Vinoy it will take years to eradicate corruption from the Country. I am of the opinion that we should start with the politicians one by one then the Amlas one by one still it will take may be in excess of 50 years to eradicate corruption.

Like it or not Corruption cannot be purely eradicated. It never has been in any part of the world. We can only churn out feel good phrases like corruption free society. It cannot be a reality of this world.

change of govt is no good. change of system may be a better option. but no system is waiting out there to be picked up. so let us try to improve the existing system. and learn to live with what we call corruption. pray and work for confining it to the least possible space.

There's nothing in this world that would be completely corruption free. But there are ways to really reduce the corruption a lot.

To greatly reduce corruption you could start with changing the government and each individual person needs to look at themselves to make changes. But it's good to start with the government.

to make India corruption free it is necessary that all of us use our votes to elect the right kind of people in power, and above all we need to start stop corruption at our level also, do not bribe to get our small work done, do not have "chalta hai', attitude, do not break rules however small it may be. start by self rather then waiting for someone else to start.

If it will change in political system, it will chance of decreasing corruption in india but 100% free corruption difficult and very little chance. It is like that we are developing system in our organiztion for better & easiest work and we also making changes in our organization system in regular interval with advanced technology or resources. So same e.g. India is organization and require to chnage or improve advanced system.

Corruption cannot be uprooted overnight in India since this habit formed from badly visioned soverign rules and regulations for the economy where unscientific processes were initiated in the economy along with inefficient economic infrastructure, degenerated value for currency, markets illformed, skill desimination not scientificaly persued, and low wages not rising with the demand of the economy on the laborers and also culure which has feudel overhangs instead of democratic. Once these errors can be corrected corruption will fade away like in western developed nations.

Corruption in India cannot be uprooted overnight. The formation of this habit has its roots in the way the economy is concieved, run and maitained which started off earlier days without proper vision or scientific plans which led to our globalized state post rupture of our economy. This process led to large degeneration of our currency, unscientific ifrastructure for the economy and whatever infrastructure created geting out dated in no time they are finished construction, lack of welfare and proper wages for work done, lack of scietific approach to dessiminate skills and the wages not rising to meet the demand on the workers exerted by the economy and cultural overhangs which is basicaly feudel. Once these errors can be corrected then corruption will slowly fade away, like that has happened in western societies where scientific approach to soverign running, maintainance and growth can lead to corruption free socities.

Political systems should be changed, fixing educational qualifications for the MLAs and MPs, revamping the election systems, introduction of bi-party systems since too many cooks spoil the dish.

These two parameters are insufficient. Corruption has become culture today. Its not that easy to eradicate. Everybody wants his work done at the minimum possible time. For that he dont hesitate to wet the hands of the employee. We dont want to follow the procedures, we feel proud in flouting the rules and regulations. Our leaders feel that they are above the law and frequently flout the regulations, they made. Redtapism is one of the reason for corruption. Non-transparency in the Govt. activities is one other reason. The people who enjoys the proximity of power at every level, try to cash on the information in their hand. Greed for money, making easy money are the two root causes. People are ready to pledge their voting right for cash and other means. So, politicians could able to win the votes. All we need a mind set change. Every body talks about corruption free India, but he wants it to start from his neighbours door not from his house.

Let’s take a look at the percentage of voting from 1952. It is always between 52% to 61%. That means an average 60% votes are being polled, in every election. Out of this 60%, whoever gets 31% will win. That means with 31% votes, the winner will rule the balance 69% against their wishes. In a triangular contest, out of the 60% votes polled, whoever gets more than 21% votes will rule the balance 79% against their will. Change in the Electoral System is needed !!!
