Criticizing anyone cannot lead to any results. But corruption being a bigger issue where whose example to take willbe a question. Leadership by example leads to good results , may be if people stop promoting corruption it will die down.. Still I see no end to it..

Though self example is the best way, still things wont work out unless everyone thinks so. If you are alone in this fight, it will be your work which will suffer.

Ironically, when it comes to 'corruption' we take on politicians and the 'Government' officials. Yes. they are the most apparent of all. They just have the opportunity to get corrupted.

But if we look at ourselves, 'corruption' is in our genes. We are generally corrupted. We break rules at our will for our own convenience. We just cannot reform politicians or govt. officials.

The litmus test is our behavior on the road. We just don't care for anything. We need to go first, and we don't mind doing anything be it going in the wrong lane, jumping the signal, parking in wrong space. obstructing the traffic and what not.

Unless, we as the society change, nothing will change.  It is not the external show-up, but the internal habits of aligning ourselves to discipline. It is difficult for our generation to change. At least let us teach our kids to be disciplined.

Processions and criticisms help nothing.

I agree with Namrata. Many people bribe traffic police to avoid paying fine. Corporates bribe to get projects from govt. Salesmen bribe to sell their products to cos. These are just some of the examples. The problem is people have accepted corruption as part & parcel of their lives. Everyone must come together to fight corruption & self example is the best start.

Role model can improve to eradicate corruption. Celebs, Leaders of all walks of life (Religious/political/social/corporate) along with individuals aspiring to establish a corruption-less community can be used to arrest corruption. A true valid criticism to the system elements can also prove a bit, useful. But, mere criticism does not yield result, unless corrective measures are taken at-once.

Introduce schemes and system where government involved activities are highlighted, with proper data and evidence, spread awarness in all the spectrum of the societies, build in a culture that would be followed by everybody living in the vicinity of the authorities. Put up signages with relevent message that would appeal the tresspassers to view it and take relevent action on it. Ensure the confidential authorities are well informed in advance.

One must set an example oneself-criticising and taking out processions donot help and not a solution to the cronic problem--Lack of spirituality and Materialism seem to be the root cause for all these problems, greed has taken over contentment and replaced ethical values. Every one wants to get rich. It is the get rich quick syndrome that is driving people to indulge in fraudulent activities. Organizations should try to develop a culture that has ethical and spiritual tone that echoes constantly and the organization is saturated with this, -more it is developed less will be the incidence of fraud, hopefully.

Avoid giving too much of hype and importance to personality cult, Its a major fad in our society, secondly, celebrity endorsment has created a big gap between the likes and dislikes, so also one would go to any extent to prove that he is right in all kind of action you come across, preferrebly avoid giving importance to these kind of characters. However, discipline is the most improtant factor, if it is maintained, with ethics and principles, then we can hope by doing sincere prayers to have clean adminstration in our country. However, it has to be strongly recommended by the mission and vision of the person with whom you are dealing with.

the thing is that setting your example is a nice way to eradicate slowly the bad elements. it is a pattern where you psychologically embrace the people by realizing the ethical issues. but at the mean time people take yo as fool because when the inflow of money is exorbitant in your life you start giving answers to your own soul. from another point of view we know that if you are working in an ethical manner that means you are hampering others' work area. definitely they wont waste their time to get embarrassed by your doings rather he/she will concentrate to deteriorate you.

in tamil there is a proverb called, thirudanai parthu thruthavittal tiruttai olikka mudiathu. means if u want control wrong doing, corrupting person have to ashamed for his wrong doing then only can control all such wrong doing.

The idea is to show the right way - stop people from asking bribe, favourism, buying from black market etc. But then a person who has been in a corrupt system willing to change? Willing to accept the right path that will have a little bit of toil and struggle? Its like a virus a deadly one too...very hard to eradicate...but yes we all should play our part in killing it. Just a thought....

There is no end of these things. We lost all our moral values. Old method of gurukulam educations may to some extent bring back, Keep dreaming. If top changes, then some chance to change in lower levels. May be we can filter politicians with the help of psychometrics,

If I say by self-example, I may not be completely truthful. It is ok if I refuse to buy cinema tickets in black or if I refuse to bribe the TTR to get a berth in the train. But do I want to lose something good which I really deserve simply on account of my refusal to pay bribes to people who are having the authority to give me that? Do I want to lose the opportunity to get admission in a really good school for my sons because of my refusal to pay bribes to the management? I dont think so. For big things, if I have to pay bribes, I will. But for small things, I will say NO. I am practical. Does that mean that I dont want corruption to go? I certainly want that to happen. I want to get what I deserve without paying bribes. For that, the persons in authority need to change. And how do I make them change? By procession and criticism. I, on my part, have not taken any bribes and will not accept any bribes in future also.  But I dont want to lose any deserving opportunity by my refusal to pay bribe.
