Dear All,

Many times we have heard from consultants or other sources who complain that for getting recruiting assignments from big big MNCs or even some small companies they need to bribe or give commission to the HR Manager, then only they are included in the clients list of the company. Commission might include anything might be gift, dinner etc.

This question is directed towards all HR Managers , Executives who have either come accross such thing in their career at any point of time. Many HR Managers might use this opportunity to earn quick bucks, and many HR Managers who are honest and straight forward might find it bad or wrong.

So expecting a healthy discussion on this issue, if you dont know anything about this issue in reality then you too keep watch on this thread so that we can find out what really happens in the corporate world.

Dear All,
I completely agree. I have got enough cases while doing the ref checks in this regard. Though in principle HR is a noble fraternity there are black sheep in this as well.

Following are some of the modes.

a) Getting commission from consultants.

b) Getting commission from canteen and transport contractors and it is a very big racket in transport. Some even invest and run vehicles of their own under the contractor. Especially this happens in BPO's and call centres.

c) Some have opened consultancy in dubious names/ names of their spouses and all requirements will go to the said agency alone.

d) I have come across some characters who get a monthly ration supplied to their houses from canteen contractors!!

e) Some taking labour contractor in any name of his family members

Regards,

Ameet
