It is a matter of great pleasure to inform you that University Institute of
Engineering and Technology (http://uiet.puchd.ac.in/), Panjab University
Chandigarh is hosting a National level engineering competition titled
SAE-EFFICYCLE 2010 (http://effi.saenis.org/) in collaboration with SAE(SOCIETY OF AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERS) (http://saenis.org/). For the same purpose, a total of 18 teams (180 students) from all over the country will converge at UIET campus on 23rd and 24th of October, 2010 to participate in this mega event.
Participating teams will design and fabricate a "Human Powered Vehicle". A
"Human Powered Vehicle" works simply on human power. The teams in this event have been shortlisted through a stringent selection criterion by judges from reputed and well known companies like Maruti (http://www.marutisuzuki.com/),
International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT)  and National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project (NATRiP) (http://www.natrip.in/). So these students are cream of the nation. You will be glad to know that in this event industry can directly recruit this national talent of 180 students.
