Yes IT is a better place to be in terms of salary and appraisal...as most of the services is delivered by the IT people and hence that is the better place, but earlier Auto industry was not a bad place to be in actually, but then with the recession most of the Auto companies are being bailed out by their respective governments...people there are finding it difficult interms of salary and appraisals....So IT is far more better than Auto industry........

The salary in IT sector is evidently far more than the auto sector & the increment/year is also more than theauto sector.
