Project Description This was an ongoing project in Gulf Computers which includes the following main activities 1. Enhancing existing database in Town Planning department and providing a centralized access to the department in an open GIS environment. 2. Updating the current base map for Abu Dhabi Island and creating a fresh new base map for the entire Abu Dhabi emirate. Contributions: 1. Inspecting data for any ambiguity or errors coming from photogrammetry. 2. Took active part in feature identification and separation, data cleaning and topology building activities using AutoDesk Map 3D 2008. 3. Created feature tables as per the data model and added attribute data to the feature classes 4. Executed FME scripts to validate spatial and non spatial errors in feature classes 5. Modified FME scripts by adding transformers under the guidance of my superior 6. Corrected the data as per the error report generated by FME 7. Edited 3d polygons using ArcGIS Arc Map. Also created thematic maps using ArcGIS Arc View 8. Support for my superior
