Yes, I have also come across many companies demanding money in the name of training fees and Security deposit. Infact they are cheating the job seekers.I surely wont join such a company

Dear Tarun , its a good question often freshers are the victim of this kinda situation ,but the best thing is not to offer any money to grab a job, the organisation which is asking money is making a business they can't offer you a career and they will again search for another fresher to continue same process. If a compnay which will offer a job without any salary for few months to train you where the company will utilise the resources and money on you ,where Organisation will have a negative ROI, in that case , for couple of months working wihtout salary is prefered rather than paying money for a job.

There are no. of companies now a days demanding money to provide training to the students and offer a job therafter. The explanation given by companies: a company invests lot of time and money in training the candidates and if they leave after few months of job and training, the company is not able to recover the costs and whole effort goes waste. Even companies like HCL which has separate training division asks for money from freshers for training purpose. Asking for money to provide training is justified but asking for money for job isn't. A no. of companies ask for 1 or 2 year of bond with candidates so that they are able to recover their training costs and keep a check on the attrition. A fresher before accepting offer like this should ask for the growth in the company if he/she is being offered a salary less than the industry standards then it is really not worth joining the offer.

I think it is a very bad first impression about the Company who asks for money for employment for the employee. If it is not necessery, one should not join such Companies on the other hand the output by the employee will not be upto mark and the employees mindset becomes negetive having said that one should not join such Companies since the employee has to work may be for 30 years or so.

I think u shud wait in that scenario... these type of companies are mostly fraud...even if you pay, u will loose your job within 6 months with no refunds....in few cases, companies do not have money for operational expenses (bad planning) and they take up this step and go further down because of increasing number of employees..i.e.increased expenses, and eventually shut shop...in any case, u would end up loosing job... though showing money in your account as a security(to take care of notice period in case you leave without serving it) or giving post dated cheques is a different practice (and could be a different debate all together)...but money for job is something which is not done at all....

Never join such companies. They are the frauds. I also heard there are companies that keep certificates as security. These are dangerous practices. Students must patiently wait and keep their focus on Job search.

We should not get carried away in such situation. We should rationalise.Should not end up paying up in desperation. If you are good enough a candidate then employer should hire you in any case.By paying up or even thinking about it you are giving negative signals. However you can try to expose such corroupt officials by approaching higher authorities. If we ourselves encourage such practices then what moral right do we have to complain??
