In a revealing scientific experiment, the findings published in  scientific journal  PLoS One , Dr Dr Bettina Pause and colleagues at the University of Dusseldorf in Germany suggest that ,we can subconsciously detect ,whether others are scared by picking up chemicals released by their bodies.

Now  i wonder, if anxiety can induce empathy in us - Can it induce motivation as well ?

I don't know much about empathy but stress can definitely induce motivation. There are two types of stress positive and negative stress. You feel anxiety about a situation then only you are motivated to do that task before that you won't feel any emotion towards it and hence neither motivation. This was what was taught to me by my behavourial science professor.

Empathy is the capability to share and understand another's emotions and feelings. It is often characterized as the ability to "put oneself into another's shoes,".... wikipedia.

When do you undergo this emotion? Its when you undergo a situation with someone close to you is suffering from the same emotion! Its actually 'identifying' yourself with the emotion of the person and then offering a shoulder.

Anxiety is a generalized mood condition that occurs without an identifiable triggering stimulus! ..... wikipedia.

Its clear that anxiety is an induced state because of the circumstance that surrounds the person. Any body activity which can induce a state in the physical metabolism starts a natural phenomenon of secretion of hormones that exude a certain distinct smell. These smells often tend to affect the people in the surrounding vicinity and differently too! Anxiety can induse in others a fear, empathy or sympathy as an outward emotion towards the person showing the signs. In some rare cases will there be a positive sign from the people around who will actually step forward to grasp the situation and offer a helping hand to the person undergoing the emotion. It is not necessarily a compulsive 'call for action' from all at all. Motivation is a surge of adremaline that is caused particularly when a person is lauded, applauded or even praised!!

Its really difficult to judge reactions because the induced effect of the chemicals that send an olfactory stimuli to the surrounding will most definitely have different reactions from different people.

There is a strong possibility ,since most of our "Emotion Control" channels are interconnected
