IIM, IIT brains plus politicians: Will this really workout??

The best brains from the top class institutes like the Indian Institutes of Management and Indian Institutes of Technology are the ones who work behind the curtain for the welfare of the country. These days management has an integral role to play in politics. Many politicians have teams who direct them on strategies, policies and implementation of programmes. 

And in these teams there are none other than students who have passed out from IIM's and IIT's.

So, will this nexus of IIM & IIT brains and politicians really work out for that matter?? Share your views  on this..

Yes..it will.  It is true that every individual goes to IIM and IIT with a dream of corporate job but some of them realize the need and the responsibility for nation building and thus create a change in the political, social scenario of the country. Hence its not all about  money today, its something giving back to the nation and Youth entering into politics and devising strategies and helping the government to achieve its maximum potential is the key today, and who better than the best brains of the country who passout from these prestigious institutions joining hands with politics and shaping a better India. I think this will really work out..

i agree partially with Ayan. Not all IIM and  IIT  could foot the bills.

Lalu tried lecture IIM students, and even addressed Students of Management in American Universities! What is his locus standi now! IITians and IIM Professors are altogether a different genre who would not like to mingle with the current day politicians!

Quality or lack of Brains is not the causative factor for today's situation in India.

It is the absence of Honesty and Integrity, as also presence of exceedingly excessive selfish traits that are hurting real growth.

It's good to have "Institute Brands" in the politics. In developed countries, it's experienced often e.g. USA. But one thing I'd point out that in all the reputed institutes, qualities like "Moral", "Ethics", "Honesty", "Integrity" take a back seat leaving front seats for "Career" & "Money". It's nice to have educated people into mainstream politics but it needs few change in the wrongly shaped fundamentals that we dwell with almost ignorantly.

IIT IIM brains can be an added advantage but not a sure combination for success recipe because a politician need to win the trust of voters, which is more an art less a science, Secondly, majority of voting generation dont know what an IIT IIM means, they themselve are illiterates, they looks for there levels like cast religion etc etc, where IIT IIM is not a matter to cast there votes. It should be more like a an educated political than a truw IIT IIM ites in politics.
