Thanks for the referral Mr.Dayanand Deshpande. Every Indian should feel proud, when Indians are elevated to such a top position in abroad. I feel they are deserved for the top posts. Hence no regret. What is there to feel sad, when they are getting the opportunities with their capabilities. It's a matter of feeling good.

I do not agree with you, Dayanand. We should be proud of Nitin Nohria that he is holding the position of Dean of Havard University. As a democratic country you are free to do the job of your choice whether it is India or outside India. & Daya please give the answer to my question that supposed if this position is, offered to you then what are you going to do ? Are these people getting sufficent opportunity/challenge in India? Will they get the respect for their knowledge in India? & let me tell you one thing that every Indian is not working for package. There are certain things like self establishment/development also matters. Finally, we should be proud of their achievement that they are establishing an Indian as a brand.

It is a great pride that an Indian has been made the Dean of Harward. It is not the question that he is doing for India,I vouch today the MBA'S rolled out of India from I.I.M'S OR BITS, Pilani and several other upcoming Business School like Indian Business School at Hyderabad are now ay inferior. The pride for every Indian is that an Indian is heading as a dean of Harward, though he is in America, his soul will be an Indian only.

Its not the question of feeling sad or good. We have to see to what extent his position in Harvard will help shape our country? Will he uphold the value system of India, he has inculcated and imbibed over years, in the international domain? We have a number of Indians heading various positions in a number of universities abroad. How much have they contributed to the growth of this country. I know, for sure, Dr. Bala V. Balachandran, whowas heading a Department in Kellogs have contributed a lot for this country, for which he was honoured with"Padma Shri" award by the Government of India. Dr. Malcolm S. Adiseshiah, the first Asian to be the Dy. Director-General of UNESCO, was instrumental in spreading the Adult Literacy Campaign in India, funded a number of Indian projects when was holding Chair in the UNESCO. We require such great men to promote Indian interests in foreign soil. Otherwise, this kind of positions will only be viewed as individual achievement not to do anything with the country, etc.
