Success in marketing depends on total focus on the customer's changing needs.

"Innovativenss" and flexibility are the only factors required to come out with solutions (through Product /services) . Customers expression/half expression etc. on their "felt need" can be ensured through the customer focus.

With Aggressive Customer focus , aggressive Listening and excellent customer relations one can survive the adverse conditions.

As long as basic needs are existing there is an opportunity for the marketer.

Experience of marketing gurus' says that every condition is to be converted in to a favourable condition for the one who is in the marketing profession and has to take maximum advantage of the situation.I think the result depends upon the mindset of the individual Study the marketing condition, understand the negative and positive side of it bring in logical ideas to convert the negative effect to maximum advantage and , I beleive, the result will be favourable and positive.

No not at all.Selling Fridge in Himalaya is a result of hard core marketing under adverse condition but this is a one shot game.Unless you get a repeat order you will not succeed in marketing.Marketing means fulfilling customer's need and it becomes batter with the innovative approaches.It remind us the olden days of Indian Automobile industries,customer had no batter option in car purchase.Only he had to choose between Fiat and Ambassador.In this case government was doing hard core marketing for the companies by compelling customer and giving no choice.To day all these companies are nearly close down because of their poor sale.I do agree that hardcore marketing is different and has no relation with the government policy But in this case you are constantly hammering the customers and he becomes choice less and finally surrenders to purchase.So here customer's willingness and his comfort is zero.By this fashion once you may achieve your target but the second time customer directly says No to you.BECAUSE HE HAD A FILLING OF BEING CHEATED IN FIRST TRANSACTION.

MARKETING IS CONTINUOUS PROCESS AND WITH THE CUSTOMER'S SATISFACTION ONLY ONE CAN ACHIEVE THE TARGET.

Yeah we can get desired results even in adverse conditions but not always....we need some support factors to get the desired results, and we are humans and not machines, we need that emotional connect with others to get things done in the first place, its not like a target is given and sales is achieved as per the requirements, though it can happen few times but the percentage tilts more towards success which depends upon supportive factors too.............
