yah its quite conflicting but true that acquired skills get more attention and admiration than having knowledge based skills which is good too. skill limited within knowledge are of no use, using those skills and acquiring more with experience is something what is fruitful,

Acquired Skills are the ones that will finally dominate. Basic Knowledge based skills only form the base.

I agree that, for a good work turn out, we need acquired skills. Hope that, based on these issue only we categories Skilled / Semi-skilled / Unskilled personnel. But, when you look at the Core value of any organization and if it wants to imbibe it in all its' activities successfully, it needs very much Knowledge based skills. Outwardly, it may seems that acquired skills overrides But, it is not. You can say , its like a Pyramid. The base is with skill based scooping up with Knowledge based.

Yes.Though the right blend of both are required theoretically but it is found that persons with good acquired skills e.g. marketing skills, negotiation skills, managerial skills etc. with little or no theoretical knowledge of their subjects rule the trade. However, quality of work suffers in the end as can be seen by everybody because I believe the right knowledge gives a person integrity and the passion to deliver his/her assignments in a truly professional manner
