In my opinion both organizations have steady and healthy growth. However, the organizations run by families have little bit more centralization of power in the hands of the family members and consequently the managers have to await nod from them even for routine matters to execute. Here there is no misuse of powers by managers and more dependency of employees on their immediate bosses/supervisors. In non family organizations, there is little bit better decentralization of powers and responsibilities to the managers and sometimes it leads to misuse of powers by managers.Further this type of organizations facilitate better carrier developments for the right candidates. By and large both organizations have its own merits & demerits.Ultimately, the equation is between what we contribute to the organization and in turn what we get from the organizations. Thanks for the referral Ms.Gargi Sinha.

Because in a non-family one, there are more chances of a professional set-up while the family one will have only chamchas and their chohorts rising up the ladder. Also in a family oriented organisation, decision making is at the whims and fancies of an individual while in the latter it can be routed through a committee etc.

Family organisations are highly propereitary, works for one individual. The owners functions based on their intuition and level of competancy. It totally depends on his vision and with vested interests. Success will be his and failures will be attributed to the next level. In non-family organisation at least a set of professionals decides on the action, the business per se will be the subject, than individuals whims.

family organizations seldom show proper professionalism. The probability of finding steady healthy growth is higher as in a non-family organization (hopefully) the distracting aspects family relationships is not present.
