I go for Industry, because it will help our economy to grow. But it should not be build on agricultural lands or demolishing some dense forests. It should be constructed on waste lands which will save our environment.....

Today environment might be a big issue but to tackle it we need industrialization....

In view of the global warming, We should go for green industry. We should consider the raising temperature and at the same time the increasing level of the sea.

Industry of course will help for our prosperity but it should not be at the cost of polluting environment so there should be aright mix of both.

Yes Kavitha, it is Industry but at the same time we cannot ignore the environment part totally.  Some where we have to create certain atmosphere that the industry should be constructed among the greenaries. otherwise, we are going to face the same problem that of west, where maximum & rapid industrialization exposed them to  all kinds of hazards including  skin-cancer etc.

Some of hazardous chemical plants being shifted to under developed     & developing countries in Asia to safe guard their environment. Promising huge funds to these countries including India not to disturb the Green/forest belt in-order to curb global warming.

A good economy should strike a  good balance between Industrial Growth & Environment.

It is industry.  Environment is also industry.  We should concentrate on better agricultural/horticultural yield per acre

I think only one State that has utilized its land area optimally is Kerala.  Not much of land is wasted there.  People stay and farm on the same land.  There is access to road and rail network.  And most of them are literate.  Kerala is not that polluted.  There is prosperity in Kerala.  Keralites are good workers.  Perhaps, the only draw  back may be that one Keralite in, doors are open for many many more.

I am not a Keralite.  On the other hand, let us take Bellary/Hospet.  This place is hub of industry.  No other district is blessed perhaps with a great heritage i.e., Hampi.  It is irrigated.  The Tunga Bhadra dam is a multi layer beneficial project undertaken.  No one is unhappy there.  I feel there is lot of work pending in environmental management.

I believe that half the furore on industrialisation by acquiring agricultural land is created by politicians.  If only there is a professional body to interact directly with farmers whenever there is need for acquisition, both agriculture and industry will progress.
