Almost every Indian company -- big or small -- that has some expertise in construction finds itself flooded with orders that are nearly three to four times its annual sales.

The size and pace of orders could threaten the development of the country's already creaking and short-supplied infrastructure.

So users, do you think India's Construction Boom is boon or bust?

Although construction companies are prepared to spend money to raise their production capacities, experts say that a shortage of skilled talent and the limited ability of capital equipment suppliers to meet demand mean that skillful project management and innovative solutions will be necessary to prevent bottlenecks.

This is for all you "Naysayers" and pessimists: The Indian Construction Industry has never had it so good! Never!

Despite all the complaints about quality, cheating, black money, money laundering, landsharking, dirty dealings, Investors and not genuine buyers etc... is BECAUSE there has been a massive upthrust in the Industry.

Good or bad quality, Cheap or Expensive, whatever, there IS a demand. And all the ills mentioned are small compared to the massive amount of work going on all over India!

Just look around you, guys & gals If it were 'Bust' time would there be so many products and services available from all over the world?

If it were "Bust" time, would so many people from all walks of life be pouring so much money into the Industry?

It is lke a rich schoolboy's essay on poverty:"My dad & mom are poor, my driver is poor, my watchman & servants are poor, our managers are poor....."

It will bust.As such there is no actual sale.It is only investors who invest.Primarily let me make you known that the quality of construction as of date is\ totally sub standard.Life of structure may not be more the ten to twelve years. We have midified our ISI specification to suit our pockets.Like plaster thickness / wall thickness /quality of tiles etc

s. it is the present situation. the seriousness with regard to implementation, learning, vision is lacking......i feel the work pressure created by the management to achieve targets must be pragmatic.......but it is also equally important to grab buissness to be in the competitive market and to run the organisation......

Acheiving balance in both things would be a great  achievement i feel.
