India's e-waste out put jumps eight times in seven years

As the latest report come,a whopping eight lakh tonnes of e-waste will be generated by the end of the year 2012.E-waste contains minerals that are toxic.Hwavy metals,like lead,cadmium,mercury.arsenic,and nickel are harmful to the environment and pose grave health hazards.The scientific management of e-waste has therefore become critical.The Times of India of 5th April ,JAIPUR ,edition quoted the sources of Union ministry of envirnment and forest that the illegal incineration of massive quantities of such trash may lead to serious public health hazards. This is a new and formidable challege to scientific community. only creating awareness will not help the matter, but a definit move has to be made  either to didpose of these items scietifically or find a process to recycle these waste items.
