Theory oriented. Except for a very few courses like CFA, MBAs from some universities, BTechs from some universities, etc - and leaving out all the ITIs, polytechnics, etc.

The question is at which level we are talking. In intermediate theory is taught more than practicals and in degree level it is both and in post graduation we learn both in depth. But in real life both are being learnt

Depends on the education u r pursuing.In applied science-like M.Sc,is theoretical.While in semi-applied science like MBA,is practical.

Indian labs have a lot practicals, which are quite good. Only the state of the labs is not good, and the students themselves are always overestimating themselves and undermining others, which is a natural trait that should be avoided.
