Former American President Dwight Eisenhower once said " Inflation is too critical a matter to be left to politicians ".

If he was right , should India's inflation monitoring & control be left to our economists or others ?

But Politicians/Govt. can be economists also......... Our present prime minister are good economist also..

If we are talking about India then Inflation is regulated by combined efforts of Govt., Economists, politicians. Because there are mainly three measures used for controlling inflation. (1) Monetary measures- Mainly controlled/regulated/implemented by RBI. (2) Fiscal Measures- Again handled by Govt. (3) Realistic Measures- regulated by Govt. Although Govt usually collects suggestions/Ideas from Economists/Actuary..
