Arre,  I need to catch my train at 6:42pm ambernath yaar.  Or else will be too late.  With so much of buzz in the market and commercial place,  it has alway been a time bounded activity considering any kind of purchase you do in the vicinity of the area you work or you live.  which ultimately happens in the last moment.  considering the threat or opportunity is concerned.  There is always an element of doubt in people's mind as to their purchasing and buying habits.   There are host of surrogated advertising and marketing done on pharmaceutical products and so also FMCG.  However,  it has created a dent in the other markets where brand loyalty is not into much of a prominence.  So,  What should be done to get the best out of your purchase,  It should be price, quality, packing or anything else.

I agree with Mr. Virag on this. People want quality, quantity and analysed products. They are not so concious of what they are buying only in few areas.(medicines without prescribiton I suppose)

Decision of purchase itself is a matter of mind. Unless the mind dictates or entice to go for purchase you will not. Of course, if there is a family compulsion, then, also, purchase goes.

Many psychologist tested a mouse by giving a bait when trapped in cage. Almost in all reaction, it was giving a positive intent. In a similar way , if a branded items are made available in a particular market & can be purchased without hazel or even any disappointment, Consumer will not mind about the time. But, will think about the brand, its quality and its price & ITS SURE AVAILABILITY LOCATION.

With so much of brand awarness in the market,  one always goes for his choice of market to buy what ever he or she wants,  With growing concern of disorganised market,  there is always a possibility getting something more than the offer you get to see in the branded market.  so total brand evaluation goes for a toss.   so need of the hour is to measure your stand with the area you live in or frequently go to get your needs and activity done.  Of course,  Return of investment is the ultimate objective.

It really depends on what you're buying but you should always go for quality first. Then all the other options will fall into place.

I believe you are implying 'consumer product' which are non durables or a 'consumer product' where ones self esteem come into play. In the former case the product standard is the metrix where it should deliver the standard performance of functionality and in the latter the value one preceives in the product like maintaining ones belief in oneself.

Obviously it has to be price and quality as the foremost differentiators when it comes to a purchasing decision. This actually differs slighlty for different commodities. For eg. if you are hungry and have just 5 min to catch the 6.42, then you wouldnt be waiting in the qeue at a McDonalds, you would grab a vadapav from a roadside vendor in front of your train/bus station even though you might suspect its quality. Whereas if you were grabbing some veges on the way home, you would definitely look for quality and wouldnt be in a hurry to pick up whatever the vendor offers. So in essence it differes but overall people would prefer quality at reasonable prices. When it comes to Pharma products, it has to be at leisure as a rushing on this could prove fatal.

Yes it is a matter of mind which has a very common nature of oscillating like a pendulum.

Yes, it is matter of mind...

Had it been anything else, singular brands would have existed in market. If you convince & your customer has perceived it right the sale occur & slowly it becomes a brand, be it pharmaceutical or FMCG product.

Vodaphone/ Relince/ Idea/ Airtel/ BSNL/ MTNL... What you have is because your mind has accepted it.

Medicines have to act and show results and that's the need as well and thus thankfully people most of the time buy prescribed one...

One small tab (dose) reaction have records from crippling life to death, one must avoid self medication

For us, marketing people, customer is the King, we only convince and influence the customer to think the way we want...(just on a lighter side)

Sir, it is matter of mind because market is depend on consumers mind, perception, consumer taste. As consumers preference, taste, like, dislike etc. are changing, market will automatically change. We can called Today's market is customized market, because company are understand the need and requirement, you will see change accordingly..... We know that Today's consumers are distribute in group (1) Price conscious (2)Quality conscious (3) Both.. So on that basis company are introducing product/brand..........
