Hey,

If a doctor , for example, things that a disease is due to KARMA( past suffering),WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE DIAGNOSIZE & further treatment. This kind of attitude should not get enveloped in medical practioner's mind. He needs to profess his skill to cure it.

SPIRITUALITY IS INTANGIBLE WHEREAS HUMAN BODY IS TANGIBLE.....SOUL IS ETERNAL....BUT HUMAN BODY IS CHANGEABLE FOR THE SAME SOUL.

WHEN DOCTORS CAN LEARN ABOUT OXYGEN, CANT THEY LEARN ABOUT SPIRITUALITY??

THANKS FOR REFERRAL KAVITHA.....

Being spiritual does not mean give up your lessons and skills. It only makes the person stronger and more determined to execute his or her profession in a proper manner. A Doctor with spiritual practice will be more dedicated & true to his profession. His greed for material wealth, ego, distinction between different classes of people will disappear. He will realize his own KARMA and use his knowledge & skills to help persons affected by their past karma. Even those doctors who do not believe in Spiritualism always tell the near and dear ones of critcally ill patients that they are doing their best and the rest depends on the will of GOD.

Yes. One should know as a doctor how they will get that healing touch and healing power through spiritual power. Even great scientists like Newton ,Edison admitted the power(GOD) beyond their imagination.Ailments are given to awaken us and cured through Doctors. So i personally feel every Doctor should know about the Spiritual life taught in Vedas.

Karma has nothing to do with past lives or anything like that because there is only present. There was no past lives or future life. We live in the present. There is only one G A Narayan and he is present now. Period.

There is no thing as punishment for past life activity. It is only how you think or emote. An angry person is prone to heart ailments and blood pressure. Likewise, different thoughts and emotions bring about different sickness in our physical being. In some case, our emotion also affects our immune system and thereby making us susceptible to various diseases. Karma is action which starts with thoughts and emotions at the deepest level.

Very good topic after a long time! Spirituality enables one to understand that present sufferings are nothing but outcome/manifestation of past karmas(deeds). It also tells us not to get confused with one's physical body as "me". Right understanding will reduce mental agony and will help in quicker healing. Mind plays a big role in all kinds of diseases especially if it is a psychosomatic disease.

It has to be included.

In several of our movies this is a standard dialogue - "Meri thara se sab kar dia.... ab upar vala he inko bacha sakega, aap pratana kijiye".

If this is added to the syllabus then the doc would add to the above dialogue - "mein be aaj rathko inke teek hone keliye dhyan karunga".

In China they teach the allopathic doctors other methods of healing too so that the doc does everything he can to save a patient. However, in India, there is a lacuna amongst allopathic doctors even if there is a slight suggestion about any other alternative forms of healing like Homeopati, Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, etc. Most of these doctors have a feeling that these are very primitive healing methods and not fit to be used today.

So, to bring about a change in the mindset of these doctors an additional session can be included for those who may be interested. It has to be done after completing their graduation and before doing their MD, i.e. only if one finishes this course after MBBS a person would be allowed to do MD.

Concepts like Pranic Healing, Awakening of Kundalini, covering seven Chakras, and acupressure, would certainly be useful. Allopathic Doctors, in most of the cases, would be able to heal a patient in positive re-inforcing counselling, rather than prescribing killer drugs, like, antibiotics, etc.

Over 100 Medical Schools have Sprituality included in Course Curricullum.Pastors are being trained at Hospitals vis-a-vis. Can Spirituality be included in Medical Education ? It has been a question to Medical Educators and Mentors. Harvard School of Medicine has a post graduate Certificate programme in Spirituality in Medicine,

Hey,

Every body in dismay at last, indeed, to depend on God(Eternal power). Because we do not have found a source to, as an alternative to that till now. Should there be an alternate, then everyone, at last takes it's name.

Be an Engineer struggling to bring back the Nuclear Plant safe or a Pilot trying his best to maneuver one's craft from Crash, or a Ship-master doing the best to save the vessel from disaster, all attempt to do his best, to get success in the Job. In the event, when they find unable to get Success, then they leave it to the Eternal power that everyone believes in. Doctor is , no exception to it. Moreover, India is ABOARD of SPIRITUALITY.

Just to claim this kind of hope from Public, a Doctor need not gain a separate Curriculum. Instead of sparing a time and schedule for that, they can, very much, allot time for learning more knowledge in one's profession. Its' really very difficult for a professional to keep track the development the field of expertise.

Mundane things spoils ones' ability when perplexed with many more complexity.

Yoga Shastra, Reiki, Acupressure, Acupuncture, Kriya Siddi Yoga...are all from a scientific foundation. Funny, these practioners did not identify the scientific foundation but practiced it. I have discovered the scientific base which can link all these...... Well, when a doctor presents his bill; he should definitely be spiritual..... comments in the lighter vein apart, I firmly believe that a doctor has to understand his patient, patient's illness, patient's body and make all efforts to treat the patient. He should not point his hands to the sky and say "oooopervaaaaalaaaaaaaaa"

Love your work because it pays you. Be honest with you profession other wise you will be finished. I don’t know about spirituality. I don’t know whether spiritual doctor is better than other doctor or just same. Efficiency, effectiveness…. does not come by spirituality.

You are right Kaliyamoorthy. Doctors must treat. Whether it is allopathic or any other alternative form of medical practice. Karma (very much misunderstood by people) has no role in his treating a patient.

Medical practitioners do need to follow professional & ethical codes pertaining to his profession & the patient concerned. Professional skills are to be, continuously, acquired and updated as the medical field is posing a tremendous challenge. As technology growth impels them to know & acquaint with its use, the ever-increasing unknown kind of diseases looming in the sky threatening the human race is formidable. Rather than spending time on sprituality, they can very well develop the skills which is ever widened its horizons.

Humanity, sympathy towards human being is the one that takes them high in life. Having faith in one's skill is more important than having it on distant . Moral values they need to inculcate and continuously, need to foster on human beings when treating them.
