UPA Govt.is headed by defacto prime minister Sonia Gandhi and dejure PM Dr. Manmohan Singh. I doubt whether 2 leaders with negligible experience in Public Life could ever evoke hope and confidence in the mind of people. Now with corruption, they have lost all faith of people at large. Dr. Singh, in particular, has become a laughing stock while representing a helpless picture...feel sorry for him.

Indian politics is roten, with no theory or scale used to build the existing political culture. The idea of the political class gets trained to jus "reap where they don't sow and sow where they don't plough", I hope you get the point.

This government's integrity is under doubt. They don't act or govern. They only react to the compulsion of Judiciary or some other agencies. The only action we see from their part is manipulation and malfunctioning. The rest are all reactions.

UPA Government focus on money making for themselves rather than to control over inflated prices at present.

In my opinion the UPA has already lost the faith of the urban few. They are in the process of defaming themselves with the rural population as well, given the price rise and suffering at the heands of the local governments because of lack of control on the states by the centre. They have displayed complete loss of control in all aspects of governance!!

If we keep thinking that next govt. will also be corrupt then we need not support candidates with tarnished image. The UPA govt has tried to project that the corruption is due to coalition govt. Why have they not put the facts in front of the public when ever unjustified demands were made from the partners in the govt.? Every body wants to have the cake & eat it too

For sure, its not going to surpass the BJP in the next general elections. A scam-ridden govt. has lost its faith of its people.

hi all, recent political developments which is rocking the country one on one is certainly an embrassment to UPA Govt and that too especially for Congress party.2G spectrum scam where PM has to openly admit in front of country people that some adjustment is necessary or inevitable in coalition form even though that adjustment is known devil and now CVC appointment mess where Supreme Court has adjudged the appointment of CVC as void/illegal.this verdict is a very serious blow on not only Govt.but,it is directly an arrow of error which is comitted by all under chairmanship of PM who is generally known for his clean image. Now,i want to know what fellow readers think about this and impact of these evils on forthcoming state elections.will Congress regain its support base in future after all these mess?

Though the UPA government is in a snake pit -- of its own making -- the TINA factor still favours it. THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE. The Opposition is still fragmented and a divided house. That too after the UPA government has covered itself with all the mud and filth of scams after scams. One will know better by May 2011 when assembly polls results for four states -- Kerala, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Assam -- and the UT of Puducherry will be out.

Our PM gave a statement which he shouldn't have. But let us not foerget that this same government has done some good to the country and if the new government comes it will also be equally or more corrupt.. We can't expect any good from anyone. UPA has few good supporters left but I don't know if they will be enough to help the government win the next time.
