Definately it can do well but with only thing has to be ensured that the wordings should not float like it looks as spam. it is a smartness always to put the business in such a way that customer likes it and asks for it. The main point to fetch customer through internet is to have customers intrest to reply the mail.

Most of the call centres facilitating services to foreign nationals who are looking for every needs through internet but not in India as far as Insurance is concerned even in meeting in person they have not understand the concept of Insurance as good tool for their future life.

As the regulator, IRDA  has made it mandatory for Insurance Advisor's to go thru a compulsary training,the entire purpose would be defeated,as the advisor is supposed to advise the prospect on need base.

With the market expanding,more innovative products are being marketed,hence the prospect could be confused.

My friend was talking about time utilization by not moving from every street but I would just say that these mails if you send to people they will be regarded as spam by them, so that would also count as waste.

I do not find it as a great idea to work on specially in a country like India because here people buy such things on trust basis. They might not be knowing the company but if they trust the sales person they will buy the insurance.
