If you ask me I think it is a great concept to do. In this manner web-sites which had occupied unnecessary space on the server could be banned and even children could be protected from using them.

Internet rating is little bit problematic, There are so many diversified things it's difficut to rate. It can be rated only if internet sites can be categorised, for e.g. Health Sites, Engineering sites, Medical sites, Search engines etc, not otherwise.

At any time an internet application can not be rated as a whole. Rather it can be rated on various parameters like objectives, design, performance, speed etc.

Yes, sure I agree that they are entirely different, in television you can calculate on the basis of TRP but in internet the calculation could not be done on the basis of number of clicks.

There are different ways to look at different things, internet is definitely a medium for media but it is not a media industry so its rating will be like them, there are different parameters which need to be considered.
