when a company comes in the college to take interview then company makes some kind of parameter and it does give leverage to the students as well and getting placed in a company on behalf of college is also an achievement for the students and it keeps students free from the tension of getting placement after completing professoinal qualification so i prefer to go for on campus placement and off campus plays a vital role too

Perhaps for the nontraditional student, in some instances, the off campus option is best. However, a large part of the college experience is the interaction between students, and between faculty and students. With all of the "interconnectivity" taking place as a result of the Internet in general, and social media in particular, we still keep most people at arms length. It is the exchange of, indeed the free-flow of, ideas that the college experience is really all about.

On campus interviews are detrimental to the candidates for variety of reasons : (1) It displays visible disparity among the selected and the unselected ones, leaving a permanent dent in the minds of not selected ones psychologically; (2) Forces the selected ones to day dream about the environment they are selected to the work with, but in reality due to mismatch between their aspirations and reality, they are forced to quit due to non-adjustment; this scenario does more injustice to the quitting lot and most of them get deviated from their focus - some succumb to pressure and the rest decide to go for higher studies; There are positives too for those students whose parents are not well off, therefore, they get economic independence, barring that the corporates are not doing any great justice to the persons selected "on campus" in real sense.

we have found on campus recruitment is bad and candidate feels cheated and leaves the job shortly either for further studies or job conditions.

The talent pool is limited in on campus recruitment whereas the off campus interview the talent pool is much wider. A person selected in on campus recruitment may not be successful in off campus recruitment becuz he has to compete with his seniors, juniors and also students better college backgrounds
