Investing in the health of women..

In interiors of our countries still ill practices like child marriage are prevalent. This in turn gives rise to the number of deaths or health issues in women who become mothers at early age. Sad but true that such practices still exist.. We who live in metros are almost unaware of this but I observe such practices when I went to some of my relatives place for a small holiday in village. Is it in our hand to stop such practices as child marriage?

I am asking this question because if I ask just for ideas there would be opinions like we can't help it and something like that.. So if you say "We can stop it".. Please try to put in some ideas too..about how to do it..

child marriage is really sad but equally sad is marriages in old age, In metros it has now become a tradition to get married after 30+, by the time your child becomes 20 you get 50+, . After 50+ the parents require more care than the child.

Child marriage can be prevented by educating the parents and the society where it happens. Court Marriage should be made mandatory for all we can keep a check this way.

This initiative should first come from the parents of those girls, then & then

only we can contribute.

Otherwise that parents may ask us that, "who gives you right to interfere in

our personal life".

It is not that much easy to solve this problem & also doesn't work even after

forming a group here.

I am ready to become active member, but have doubt about the response to

such movement & willingness to work honorary for such noble cause,without

affecting their current job.

Please take my views on positive note.

No It takes more than just a law to stop it. Parents need to be persuaded which is the most difficult part. Good convincing power is required and it takes a lot of effort and time. Who can actually take courage to do this. If we here can form a group and do something concrete about it. It will really help. All who are interested in doing so should come forward so that we can ACTUALLY do something more than just talk. Otherwise my answer "No" for the debate will hold true..
