if business is a game of money making, then business men are all out to make money. So they are making money from games. What's wrong? Money glamour visibility are biggest incentives which attract talent, better talent better show, better vibrancy. Thank you Malika

"Cricket" is a game. "IPL" has turned it into a business! Otherwise, what have the cheer-girls or good old mandira's dressing sense got to do with cricket? haha :) At-least people like those here have recognized this and the authorities are questioning themselves after a long time: "Hmmm, why cheer girls?" Short and sweet question. Thanks for referring Malika.

It's a business, with a touch of entertainment and little bit of sport. The overall business model of IPL is impressive. That is the reason big corporate/bollywood names are attached. This platform is both helping & ruining players of every level.

IPL was never a game...... It was always a source of earning money for all.. Infact IPL is just demoralizing our players and when we face world cups, they do not perform as much they can do. Either word cup is 20-20 or ODI.. I think our govt should ban IPL, but they wont do because they too involve in this and enjoying with money in many forms. Some ask as a fees on behalf of govt, and some ask for undertable amount to permit IPL. Many of the filmstars, leaders, or other business man just converting their black money to white and playing with our govt. IPL is a game for those peoples not for our palyers. If we talk about our friends (people who are enjoying IPL) they are also take this as a business and they BAT on each player, each match, each team.. Some loose, and some win but the bookey always gets profit and enjoy there game with all those peoples who all BAT. What you say ? IPL is a game or a business ?

It is a drama.... a drama of glamour, modern craftsmanship of sports items and .... madness. Please do not search for talent, craft and sporting skills in this hungama crafted by genuinely brilliant marketing skills.

Its 100% Business! Its a corporatization of CricketGame. the Flip side, it is an excellent job opportunity for players to make money evenif they don't get chance to play for their national side. In a billion cricket country population, of which a astounding figure of aspirant wants to play for their country & cricket hero both national & international, this forum gives those budding aspirant a taste of international cricket. As the basis of this games are to make money, the sportsman spirit is LOST totally.

Today's Ranji players are tomorrow's money earning players. Game means the mix of entertainment and consistency on both viewers and players. Here, the players are not consistent. This kind of game can any local player can play. If our villagers are properly trained, they all become a good player of our country. But nowadays, only big class and big push and pull is playing cricket.

If anyone come to a conclusion that "Gambling" is a game, then no more argument. But it is purely business by way of cheating the crazy mass. One way it is like a fraudulent "Finance Company" who are extending attractive schemes and short time returns to the investors. Cinema and Cricketers are fooling you and me.

I agree with malika, its purely business not only IPL but also cricket match is became purely business and it was effective when the match fixing concept was came outside. Players are playing and earning more than one side apart form match like advertisement brand ambassador, guest in reality show etc. Still people are doing enjoy while watching match but in fact it is purely business....not for entertainment. The people will give first priority old match like '90s match, at that time it was real enjoy...not business
