People have actually got exhausted of the present speed of the internet which is provided by IPv4. Ipv4 is already having customers upto 2lac and more customer request for internet connection would be a problem for this protocol. So, I think new protocol would prove helpful.

I tottaly agree to the point here.

putting a new protocol in place and implementing it , its not going to be that easy.

service providers in india dont match the qualit standards maintained by other counterparts in other countried.

it sounds good...ipv6...but its really going to be a whole lot difficult to implement and get hold of in near future.

people not opting out for it or services being not affordable comes out at a very later stage first of all the point is that whether service providers in our country or anywhere are ready for the change...

in india ... i dont think so

Yes ofcourse, people and service providers will accept this newer version of internet protocol because with the changing times the technology also changes and moreover IPv6 has a much larger address space than IPv4 which results from the use of a 128-bit address, where IPv4 uses only 32 bits. The new address space thus supports 2128 (about 3.4×1038) addresses. This expansion provides flexibility in allocating addresses and routing traffic and eliminates the need for network address translation (NAT).IPv6 also implements new features that simplify aspects of address assignment (stateless address autoconfiguration) and network renumbering (prefix and router announcements) when changing Internet connectivity providers.

Yes acceptance will be there coz with new technologies we need some time to get used to.and it depends how much time we take..you just can't avoid the technology and go ahead.

I suppose for better services people are ready to pay more, the customer here wants value for his money and if he is geeting it then I think that would not be a problem.

I do not find it as a good idea because then the cost will come into picture and may be people will not be able to afford these services.
