Third quarter electronic food chain revenue growth confirmed that the global slowdown was already away. Although all of the end-market sectors (except SEMI equipment) were still in positive territory, capital equipment suppliers (both PCB and SEMI) as well as PCBs, other passive components, and medium-sized EMS companies all saw sales declines last autumn

Looking forward, global GDP growth is now projected to reach bottom this year. Because the world economic situation was in a major state of flux last year, most prognosticators’ crystal balls are still a bit cloudy this year.

So users, do you think 2010 is the recovery year for Global manufacturing sector?

I don't think so, sectors like semiconductor usage (a measure of electronic assembly activity) is still declining. The World Semiconductor Trade Statistics group has trimmed its chip shipment outlook. It now is facing a a global semiconductor shipment decline. Based upon recent regional chip shipment results, all geographic areas are seeing sharp growth slowdowns.
