Is adopting LEED going to improve ROI in India?

This will help. Any systematic approach will help. As far as LEED system (or proceess) is concerned, this is one of the best approach to reduce global warming & energy optimisation. I have some different openion in following two points; 1) CFC reduction in HVAC & R Equipment , 2.) Heat Island effect.  LEED concept is great concept & it should be mandatory for all upcoming SEZ in India. for small building its not practical. I definatly say YES to this concept.

As I have already said, by adopting LEED, more and more ROI can be generated, so, It will be a great help for our country's economic condition also and since the key elements in construction on the LEEDS model is to reduce the cost due to energy consumption in the buildings, it will be affordable even by the low income people. i.e, everybody will be able to enjoy its advantage...

LEED buildings especially work buildings not only save energy, but also increase user productivity. This productivity increase exceeds the energy savings per sq foot by a large margin in US. In India, the IGBC paper suggestst hat productivity increases in the range of 12 - 15% can be expected. Given how much we pay our professionals, that is significant ROI for any company.

Adopting LEED is definitely going to improve the ROI in India, as one of the key elements in construction on the LEEDS model is to reduce the cost due to energy consumption in the buildings. With more and more people becoming environmentally conscious it is to be expected that it would bring in greater ROI.
