To a extent it is true that cbi has been used by different political parties for their personal favours not only cbi but various govt. agencies too are been dealt this way. It is as simple as that either u are with us or u are against us and who wishes to become a martyr these days confronting the one in power.... also in the present context it is a necessity for the govt. to keep its allies under control which is possible via investigations by cbi or any govt. agency it will go on an on until someone steps out to stop this certainly a number of sacrifices will be neded

Congress Party has set some good and some bad precedents in this country. Politicisation of Administration and institutions is one of them. Other political parties will do the same when in power because it suits them well.

Yes in last so many occasions and in cases it was seen the congress used it as a weapon against opposition. Otherwise how Lallu Prasad Yadav or Mayawati can be silent against the congress. They knows as and when they will do something against congress their cases will be opened and result is known. In one another case Mr. Omprakash Chautala (A person not less then Hitler) is silent because he is fixed in the Property cases and as and when he will jump the taller bamboo is ready for him. So all these cases clears that congress is using the CBI and it has become Congress Bureau of Investigation.

Yes Ayan I support you, but not defining CBI as congress Bureau of Investigation but as "Corrupt Bureau of Investigation",because CBI does not see who the ruling party is..... it works for those who pay more. Its a pitty on us see all the corrupt people are as we are meaning same as we are , but have no fear of us,since we also help them to bribe and get bribed for we dont care for India......or we can say we dont care for anything beyond our own interest.

Dear Ayan, And you thought it was not? It is historical dear. why else we still make do with acts from 1861? Are we still under foreign rule? you may wonder at the end at best.

Yes, CBI is now working under pressure of congress.. We all can C that there are lots of cases like ARUSHI murder case, KASAB case, and so on. All cases are stil pending, not a single person has been punished, Just request for remand and then nothing...... What the hell is going over here...... Sometimes I feel our government is paralysed and making others tooo.......

Yes, it has always been the case on many occasions (do not ask me about the specifics, I will have to research). In India, very few institutions can withstand the political pressures & pulls, simply because of the corruption. When we hear / read about judiciary being influenced for politicians end, then what elseone can surmise, that CBI is influenced. Having said the above we cannot generalize that the influence is organization wide, it might be due to some key people getting influenzed & thereby influence the outcomes. Please note that I am not commenting on this due to the recent Gujarat case.

It is not "Congress Bureau of Investigation" but can be called :"Cocus Bureau of Investigation" because the CBI is utilised by any political parties in POWER.

The main issue is not whether the CBI is being influenced by the UPA Government... the issue is whether the CBI is right in being influenced by the Government policies to down the image of the other parties... if the CBI can justify that even though being influenced by the government it is right in its way to curb corruption. so i am of the opinion that there is nothing wrong till the CBI is catching the corrupt politicians of the other parties under the influence of the government. so long as it is justifiable.... at least some crooks will be nailed by CBI.

Ayan politics is one thing I dont understand much but what I feel Dr. Manmohan Singh is trying to weed out corruption and corrupt people from the politics with the help of other senior leaders of congress and rahul gandhi along with sonia gandhi. To me it is clear that the political party who is in comand at centre takes some advantage. The case in discussion was on the direction of Suprem Court and the same court today has taken offence on rotting food grains.

I don't think thats an issue. What matters is that BJP is in deep waters again. Mayawati and Lalu did the same thing when they were being bugged by CBI. BJP calling names to CBI has no takers. Anyone watching national news channel knows that Supreme Court has initiated the probe. BJP should act responsible to say let the law take its course. Reacting the way they do, just make us believe that they are neck deep.

One factor we, all forget that, CBI, ia a governmental agency. Government of India is one who rules. May be Congress, DMK, Trinamol congress or RJD whoever it may be.CBI needs to follow the norms of the government but not the people. If it is to follow the norms of people make it as NON-GOVERNMENTAL.
