Voted for Yes only because it helps to take things positively but in reality it is not a gurantee for growth. It depends on which part of the restructuring you are in - in the team on the way out or the team that is to take up more responsibilites. Either way if you have done your work and it has been recognised within the organisation, then you would grow corporate restructuring or otherwise.

Yes , i think corporate restructuring is a ladder for growth. As we all know business environment is dynamic, it may be in term of technology , management practices, political ,global or other concerned factors and with this changing environment we have to change our self , for the growth of organization as well as for individuals.............

Growth for who? Organisation or the Individual(s). Some organisations restructure in order to accommodate someone that they are trying to bring in at the top level. Most Organisations restructure for growth. Sometimes growth restructuring may mean removing some of the levels present and make it a thinner, flatter, meaner organisation. Major requirement in any case for the individual to grow is the growth of the company.

Unesiness of handling bigger teams would certainly lead to restructuring, prioritizing things will getĀ easier,Ā economy conditions (environment) if to be considered would be majorly internal, which still would point towards the restructuring,Ā Restructuring may not be seen as the final step, but could easily be credited as on of the steps in ladder to success

Yes probably to reduce the cultural gap in the organisation & also for proper representation of the community showcasing equality in employment. It also is important to reinforce the distriburion of power in the hands of which helps in building employee motivation. this could also be of great use if company is going through bad phase of weak leadership.

Restructuring remains me of W.J ARROW'S theory of impossibility theorem. The theorem goes on to say that one will b better off by making others worsening off

Depends on the purpose of restructuring. Is it downsizing or expansion or consolidation or divesting? In expansion and divesting, it might become a ladder for growth. But in downsizing or consolidation, it might be the opposite - maybe layoffs also. Restructuring is done after a very lengthy period of consultations, studies, dissertions and dissections. It might go as anticipated or might not go down well. In either case, it takes time to materialise. But initially, if it is for expansion or divesting, it will serve as a ladder for growth. Sorry, Sujatha for contradicting your views.

Sujatha is considered as supported. Restructuring is not the same as flushing and both must be construed very carefully.
