I love my country, India as much as you do and hence I want to raise awareness that there is a blood sucking parasite that is getting stuck to India and its grab is becoming stronger and stronger, day by day - Its name is CORRUPTION.

Let's raise awareness about the corruption and do whatever is possible to loosen its hold of this blood sucking parasite...This will weaken us if we don't take care of it now and eventually multiply and ruin India... Corruption can be reduced and can be done easily if we use the right tools and raise awareness about it....Internet is a great tool to use fight it..

Corruption is playing at every stage now in common man's life in India, and this bothers me like anything. Whatever I think or talk or plan.. Corruption is appearing as the root cause of it...

So, Is corruption in the blood of every Indian??

Corruption is the Fifth pillar of democracy. Corruption is the foundation of Indian Administration. Corruption in the backbone of Indian economy. Corruption provides lubricant to Indian Judicial system. Corruption is the oxygen for politicians. Corruption keeps your Boss happy and you go on moving up.

Corruption elevates your social status, hides your mistakes, gives you choice posting, helps in getting early promotion and what not..

Any work can be done smooth and timely if you indulge in corruption. Lessons: Accept and Give bribe as much as possible and be happy. Accept illegal practices prevalent in the system with joy and pleasure, You will lead a peaceful life. Don’t try to protest anyone or point out anyone’s fault, otherwise it will open Pandora’s Box for you.

To say that corruption is in the blood of every Indian is a bit too cynical. There are umpteen Indians or people of any nationality who are not corrupt. And there might be many more uncorrupted people in India and the world whom circumstances have forced to be corrupt and who still would like to be uncorrupted given a choice.

Yes Namrata, I think you are correct, If corruption move out from the country culture, we can surely be in top position of world.

Infact, Government is restricting the foolproof electronic IT methods to avaoid corruption system.

Even the Indian peoples are responsible for it.

Corruption is the problem of each & every developing country. Some countries like China are able to control because it is a undemocratic country. In India, CORRUPTION is now a unavoidable situation in every work. It is not only in Govt Organisations but also in some of the Private MNC's and other small & big institutes, in the form of favours. Those trying to fight corruption are struggling to survive & grow. THE FACT : IT IS UNAVOIDABLE.

I think probably everybody is connecting too 100% of the population. The interesting fact is that more than 70% of our population is less than 30 years.

So please calculate accordingly and probably your way of thinking may change.

CORRUPTION......who are corrupt - politicians, beaurocrats, govt. officials, various departments of public service?? who is corrupting them?? we want our things to be done without any wastage of time or to our convenience. people who can afford will pay for those fast track services. I understand that the system is 'PEOPLE' and we people encourage corruption for our means. Can we all take a oath that we shall not pay anybody anything extra for the services we seek. The day every citizen realises this, then we can talk about curbing corruption in India. Simple and most important things like Driver's license, gas connection, payment of bills, pensions to senior citizens, education and many more - are we able to regularise these services to reach the common man. Forums are not enough to address this issue. This has to be a nationwide movement with awareness to common man.

Is corruption only to deal with monetary aspect or something else too? Even corrupting one's belief system is also a corrupt practice, and corruption exists only because we are corrupting the minds of those who are in power to speedy up or to cut short the procedures laid down, as we are impatient to wait for anything. We do not like to understand or read the minds of the persons in power, but we assume that the system is corrupt, therefore, he too is corrupt is the perception that force us to bribe. Rules are made into Exceptions, and the Exceptions are considered as Rules now. How do we eliminate corruption from the society? Is it really possible? It will be eradicated only when we advocate to remove the very word "corruption" from English Lexicon. We have sown the seed (we shall go for international patent as we are listed one of the most corrupt nations - placed at 85th position in Transparency International Corruption Index), watered, germinated, and now its standing tall as a peepal tree - a tree of its kind exclusively grown in the earth by Indians - psychologically modified mindset of every working and political class.

I beg to differ with Chandramouli. First of all if there is no givers then there are no takers.

Let me just go back during the independence where the Country used to run by all the ICS officers. There was a pay cut after independence and that how some body happlily offering sweets to the chief, the ICS there were may be 1% or even less who they thought there is nothing wrong since I havent asked for so let me accept and it became a regular feature. Now the Bara Babu watch the whole thing with interest and one day when this gentleman came to offer sweets to the chief, Barababu told him that the Boss is not available. Now then Bara babu also started getting the sweets he is also very clear in his mind that I have not asked for it. Now the thing is known to the whole office and accordingly everybody started getting the sweets.

There is a saying " the tail of dog doesent get straight. Now since this practice is going for more than 60 years the corruption has entered in the blood of every Indian provided he is in a position to get the sweets, Who don get this do the same whereever it is possible.

During my Masters in Business School in UK we discussed topic on Ethics in Business I was astounded when overwhelming majority of my fellow students said that everything is fair in Business and when it comes to corruption in India what good is it to work in a country where there are so many laws to deal with. In India we make rules according to our necessity if you want anything to be done quickly just bribe any politician and you can even get away with murder.

Editorial - Letters Column - Deccan Chronicle, Chennai -
Monday, April 12, 2010 - Page 10.

Unique ID

There is no doubt that Unique ID can be the panacea for most evils of modern society, if implemented correctly. It can help the government to save crores of tax payers’ money year after year lost on account of leakages in the system. UIDAI should ensure compliance with International Data Security Standards and be vested with the responsibility of registering every citizen and resident in India and issuing Biometric Smart Card with multi modal biometrics (finger prints, iris, facial, palm vein and DNA). All transactions of all individuals and organizations must be mandated through the use of the Biometric Smart Card. This can help to plug all the loop holes in the system and ensure transparency and accountability.

Every Indian tries to find an easy way out....to offer or pay a bribe actually means that we are as equally corrupt as the person demanding or taking a bribe. Prostitution would not exist, if the customers did not need to indulge into it...? Right....?

One must understand how the corruption has started in India, when the salary of an Govt clerck was to the tune of Rs 40/- per month the ICS officers were geting in excess of Rs 4000/- per nonth as salary.

On attaining independence the salary has been drstically cut for the ICS officers and at that point all were very honest so bribe is to be taken. Now some Govt Contractor on compleation of the job and on receipt of the payment ( knowing fully well the salary cut will offer some sweets to the chief i.e the ICS officer once it has been accepted may be by even one the BAraBabu  watches the same next time onwards he asks for it seeing this all the staff falls  in line. So according tro me this way it has started and obviously grown big and biger.

So now may we say not all Indians but a vast majority of them falls in the bracket.

Dear All,

I want to know from all of you we indians and govenment give references of surveys and reports by international agencies for our achievements and if there is matter of failure in any field then make arguments like approach and methods adopted by agency. This is ridiculous.

I am of the opinion that in our country corruption is promoted by the politicians and corporates. Normal Citizens have to do nothing with it. But as the system/environment want one has to adopt the practices because opposing the system will make his/her life full of difficulties. Everyone has his own choice but everyone want easier ways not difficult one. Corruption make their ways easier.

There is a tax exemption available for the donation made to political parties and if a businessman give some lacs or crores to parties then how can we believe that he does not want any favour.

In india every department /state is much more involved in increasing their departmental/state revenue or earnings. It has to do nothing with the public interest and welfare. For example in Delhi, Delhi police has a huge fund and it is earned by mainly challan receipts of vehicles. Do you think this kind of departments can do anything good for the citizens.

At the time of implementing the Vat, empowerment commitee said that in vat uniform rates and practices will be applicable across the country. Reality is much more different from this every state has different forms, records to maintain, practices for vat and has the power to increase the VAT but has no power to lower it. Inflation is already very high and government will provide a helping hand to citizens by increasing taxes. What an idea ?

We and our government highlight the achievements of the persons with indian origin and give them National awards like bharat ratna etc. even they never do anything for our country india  and its citizens. Besides this these persons are citizens of foreign countries from their birth.

For every aspect of planning or taxation we give examples of other developing countries and do unjustified expenses for financing the tour and travelling of ministers and officers and  give arguments that they are going for studying and surveying the drain system or taxation systems etc. We proudly announce that we are masters in every field but has no ideas of their own, even for draining system. This is also ridiculous. Our finance minister give us a new gift every year i.e. sometype of new tax. Public welfare schemes are only games played with paper, pen, numbers and statatics nothing more for pliticians. Every Indian and even politicians know the truth and reality.

In my view reservation is also increasing corruption. Because we provide reservation on grounds like cast, religion or sex etc. It has nothing to do with eligibility for the post or responsibility. There are brilliant students in lower casts also how you justify the reservation by relaxing the percentage and age limits. By relaxing all these limits you are only promoting corruption. Because if a student from lower cast has better percentage and another one has lower one. For getting Chances of both are equal and the one who has money power mainly wins the race in india. This is a truth every indian knows.

I will not agree that corruption is in the blood of every Indian,we are all getting into it because of the system that is there around us.. Most of us don't know the law, we don't know what is our rights and so people are making use of our ignorance and one way all us are a part of this corruption growing in India for we all want to take the easy way out

I think it will be too harsh to say thyat the corruption is there in every Indian,s bllod. At the same time our chrector is to follow as adults & this applies everybody with a littlebit of exception. The politicians are the Gurus. There may be a handful of exceptions. The same applies for all Govt Departments and as we have seen in past the judges are also not exceptions like the case of Chandigarh & Dinakaran.

We take a pride place3 among the one of the top 10 Countries in terms of corruption. Everything going well we will go down the ladder may be a decade from today.

To a larger extent it might be true. But yes there are people who are not corrupt. Because corruption only flourishes when there are uncorrupt people also. If everybody is corrupt then nobody will neither understand and nor will have faith in what the other person is saying. Than there will be a chaos. Yes the number of people who are corrupt is quiet huge that is why we generally say it is in the blood of every Indian.

Corruption of the mind is in every Indian's blood and in the blood of every citizen of the world. The feeling of competition, one-up-man-ship, survival of the fittest, etc.  is there in every race, nation, community, family and individual from the time men lived in caves. Only it has accentuated to disproportionate levels at the present time. The days when any one felt the need not to achieve any thing, nor to possess any thing, etc. is gone. Satisfaction and contentment with the minimum is a thing of the past. Hence corruption of the mind has overtaken every facet of life. There is no denial of this fact. Is there any one who feels that they should be thyself and not do any thing beyond thyself (out of the way) to achieve some thing?  For more see "A prescription to end corruption" athttp://www.4psbusinessandmarketing.com/17072008/storyd.asp?sid=2112&pageno=1

Well said Namrata, I do accept but there are few who still follow honesty. But if you indulge in honesty you will be grilled like anything. So, todays demand is don't indulge in Honesty. Hate this word as much as possible to live in peace. Honesty has became synonym of tension. If you want to live in peace maintain suitable distance from this word.

Try to make friendship with Corruption and earn money that will help you in carpeting your mistakes(deliberately done), getting you legal things done, getting a good post in organisation blah.., blah.., blah...

I suggest that everyone should mark one day in a year as "HAPPY CORRUPTION DAY". I also like to suggest that govt. should make this legal and charge a preferential tax of only 10% ON THIS INCOME INSTEAD OF NORMAL 30% AS CHARGED.

Mr. Bhavan, the topic is not an Ideate. If so, I would rather welcome it. Unfortunately, it is a debate topic. Participant has the right to voice their concern & put across one's notion. In that way, I just mentioned that, it is not a waste of time. If so, you need not even, scribble this here. Because for you, time is precious and opinion this much has cost you something.Hope you understand the meaning of opinion building.

I mentioned two thing.Firstly, opinion building among professionals Secondly, inculcating this opinion among professionals at least in their sphere of work.So it is not a waste of time from the point of view.If you feel other ways, choice is yours.Sorry, for discussing off-the-stream of the subject.

I think you are almost correct in saying that corruption is in our blood. Today in India there is hardly any aspect of life where corruption is absent. Law enforcement, revenue, medical, and even education fields are overflowing with corruption. Police personnel making money out of dead bodies, doctors stealing kidney from poor patients, revenue offices collecting money for each land deal where properties are grossly undervalued, Ration shop owners diverting trucks of PDS food for sale in the open market are only few examples where corruption is encountered by common man. People believe that any new law introduced by the government is intended for making money illegally by some government functionary. It was Rajeev Gandhi who said  that more than 85 paise out of every rupee the government spends is eaten away by corruption. Education system has become so corrupt that the appointment of every teacher or staff is preceded by hefty ransom payments to management. There are medical colleges which charges 20 to 50 lakhs Rupees per seat to give admission, mostly to undeserving candidates! I shudder to think about the scale of corruption that will eat away the huge funds the government is planning to spend on education under the new RTE bill. Only God can save our country.

It is not foolish Mr. Bhavan. What you said reflects the saturation point of mind.We know, individuals ,inevitably, say it & indulge or encourage it.What we do is , at least , the point is arrived at (driven in the mind) in the forum where professionals are expressing their views & inculcate the ideas into their mind so that, it is not encouraged or practised in their environment / workplace. Every body is learning from one another.

yes, first of all we all are idle and lazy with compare to other people. Secondly, we always, wait for Al mighty help and miracle in our support. We believe less in efforts and more in miracle like things. It has led us to find out short cut. Corruption in any forms is the outcome of this philosophy. We always pray God to prove our corruption and bad action true in given circumstances. We like to talk more about the corruption but while it is our turn, we accept it as there is no other way .

It is also confusing the common men that corruption is there because our leaders are corrupt, or because our society is corrupt, our leadership is corrupt.

Bur it is very much true that we are not honest in our daily routine and not honest in relation ship whether its family, social, friends society or country.

We have to become bold enough to improve ourselves, and then will be able to teach a lesson to leaders.

Can I ask you a question? Name a country that is corruption-free.I, still, remember a word uttered by late PM, INDRAJI," Corruption is Universal". May be it is a slang for " commission in business dictionary. What a businessmen talk of commission may be a substitute resorted by other group of people".I am not encouraging it. It is just a matter of fact I am highlighting it.When one strata say commission, it percolates to other strata in other name. Let us only try eliminate it by a degree of proportion of what we have. It is Not in India only my dear.

Is corruption in the blood of every Indian? I stand against this question. How could a person can blame every Indians just by suffering from few corrupted offices/officers, it’s really a bad habit to pointing others. May be my friend Namrata had not seen the life of our Indian soldiers, may be you have not seen the youth who fighting/Thinking against it and the parties or Exercise offices who are working against it.

I agree there is corruption but this not the matter of blood, this is the matter of system, where you are working.

I strongly endorse Mr. Kazmi's views regarding the argument. I am of the view that the one who takes a bribe and the other who gives it are equally corrupt. One should rise against such practices and I myself have not tried to bribe any official so far for getting my work done. I believe its us who can make the difference.

It is better to say that every Indian take birth in corrupt system rather than corruption is in the blood of every Indian. Corruption is not presence in our blood but we breath in corrupt air.  There might be more uncorrupted people if the system or corrupt circumstances not pushed them into the hell of corruption.

Even all people are not corrupt, they are only victims of corrupt people. In India millions of people are living under the poverty line who are not able to distinguish between corrupt & non-corrupt people. It means people are not corrupt by birth but circumstances or family atmosphere can forced them to be.

GREAT PARTICIPATION IN DEBATE.............

Corruption is deemed to exist in a Hypocrite Society that we live in. Parents tell their children to work harder in the 12th / HSC exams with an explanation that this will only enable them to go to a lucrative branch like Engg / Medical.

This brings the overall importance of earning high money creep into the minds of the youth. they feel that Money is all so important in life & when they are not satisfied with the salary they get, they betray their Org. & give in to Corruption.

However, there are so many exceptions to this. the questioner also seems to be non corrupt & corruption in & around him has frsutrated him to post this as a debate topic. some of the arguments posted here will definitely give him some peace of mind.

we have seen in our past (People like Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Rabindranath Tagore, Mother Teresa, J R D Tata & so may others) showed us how to live  without corruption.

Present day personalities like R N Tata, Nitish Kumar, Narendra Modi, Madhu Dandvate, have shown us the path of development through Minimizing corruption.

The prenet & past day society has been beneficial to both the men with corrupt intent (Industrail top runners who have set up their empire only in the past 30 ~40 Yrs & yet are the No. 1 & 2 money spinner brothers of this country), where as People like R N Tata are of the opinion that it is good to conduct your business in the most ethical manner, this gives you a good night sleep. Ministers Like N M Modi tell " I Do not eat & also net let people under me eat"

so lets be optimistic. thisngs are changing for the good in India. Like you & me there will be many more who tread on non- corrupt paths to meet their end.

I do not agree that the corruprtion is in the blood of every Indian. In fact nobody is born corrupt. It is the system which forces you to become corrupt. As a child when you see that you cannot get anything done without greesing the palms of the people who are in the power you have no alternative but to shell out money to get the work done. Even if you do not accept money yourself despite having an oppurtunity you have no control over others.

In fact it is lack of moral teaching by parents and in schools which is the root cause. Another cause is disparity in the incomes but the biggest reason is the legal systems and procedures. To quote an example if you have shifted to another state and your driving license needs to be renerwed you are asked by the Licensing Authority to get a no objection from the previous issuing authority before you license is renewed. But if you just pay a few hundred bucks to the agent standing outside the Licensing Office you can get a new license without even a driving test. If you want to built a house you have to shell out money at every stage e.g. For getting plan sanctioned, for getting water electricity connection and so on and so forth.

Unless and untill there is complete overhaul of the administrative and legal sytem and unless the corrupt officers do not get exemplary and early punishment this menace is going to spread.

Sir,

1800 - 1500 ... If people think, they are toll free numbers ... they would be sadly mistaken.

It may be just the tip of the ice berg ... corruption figures just unearthed from a single individual ...

Rs. 1,800 crores of hard cash and 1,500 kilograms of gold said to have been ceased from the offices / residences of Ketan Desai, President, Medical Council of India.

Obviously many under-hand dealings must have been going on for quiet some time; he must be well connected with the powers that be, having got re-elected and to daringly indulge in such large scale corruption. If a public enquiry is conducted, many heads may roll.

There may be many more such corrupt officials in India. If all of them are caught, the Government may get a few lakhs crores of rupees which can be used for genuine poverty alleviation schemes.

Telgi, Raju, Koda, Ketan, and many more ... Is this not enough reason for the Government to demonetize currency in steps (immediately rs. 1,000 and Rs. 500 currency notes and the rest in due course of time) and introduce Biometric Smart Card based transactions for eliminating corruption.

Please circulate to all well meaning citizens for a public debate on "The need to kill the cancer of corruption before it kills us".

What an absurd question is this! There was a legend named "Agnesë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu" does anybody aware of the fact that after a couple of decades she'll be better known as MOTHER TERESA. So, my point to sight this ex. is that n'thing lies in blood, situations makes people go out of track... and that's only for the want of more n more money.

NO cooruption is not in blood in every indian example when a new join person join or starts his first job the first impact which he gets remains impact on through his life because of high pressur and to make money seniority level use to traint he fresh employee of completing task by wrong means and these means are at every level acceptable because these wrong means are now become the rule of sucess and automatically corruption is being made learned to do, and people whom do not want to invove in such task they leave the job start there own businees or have gone abroad for better career opportunity or they are still at same level with almost negligible growth in their professional life, what to do nobody can change the things,we also talk the same but when its our turn we also use to follow the same system but poosting a scrap on TOO STEPS we become too honest to make run the community

We are forced to bribe becoz we haev to deal with govt servants

example - in obtaining a death certificate from Municipal office bribe of Rs 15-50 is taken else you get certificate after 35 days

Birth certificate regristration they askfor Rs 50-Rs 100 else the registration takes more than 25 days

Now you do not see giving bribes in openinga  saving bank account, openinga  demat account or to do trading on internet or buying stiff on internet or any activity where you deal with teh pvty sector for any activity even when you buy vegetables

It is not Indians are corrupt it is the govt which is corrupt and we haev to live with that

Indians are simple people with broad and liberal mindset, they don't wanna hurt anyone even when they are harmed or assaulted, we respect honesty and transparency in the system, how can we be corrupt, corruption charges against entire Indian fraternity are baseless and derogatory, If you are a true Indian then stop this mud slinging and fingure raising on others and try to simplify the problem without hurting the innocent indians.

Corruption is not aterm to be associated to indians only.Nationality does'nt matter and corruption exits because we allow it so no matter which nation we go to we will bribe people to get our work done faster and thataccounts for corruption

I don't believe that corruption is in the blood of every Indian. Most Indians are honest in their dealings. Few people who are dishonest indulge in bribery, which is highlighted by the media and which brings a bad name to Indians on the whole.

Corruption stems from the power of businessmen who wants to bend rules and regulations to have things done their way. If at all the government offices and private organizations were more transparent in their dealings, did not entertain such requests from business then the corruption would not have grown to such levels.

In order to have a transparent and more corruption free system everything should be computerized and the status made available to the users of the service. This way there would be no middlemen and less chances of corruption.

Finally, If you are honest in your dealings nobody from the other side would dare to ask bribe.

I don't think it is in the blood, but it is the tendency of Inidians to suffer silently helps the people to get quick bucks in terms of bribes. The politicians cannot bring the law to curb corruption since they are the most corrupt among all.

Blood has nothing more than RBC,WBC and other such human body boosting elements and CORRUPTION.. that comes from our thoughts that get created bcoz of the environment we have.

CORRUPTION in Indians comes as a result of what we see around us.  what we see around us? I think you know it well as every other Indian.

NO.

Its the human nature to see wrong faster, but probably we have stopped looking at good. We all including our media, are expert in finding faults.

We high-light & talk only about wrong while ignoring the good, the wrong is now seen as 100%. This precisely has happened in case of corruption. People have accepted it as part of life, fifth pillar in economy & what not.

I agree that corruption has deep roots in our Country and Swiss bank is the biggest beneficiary. It raises great concerns however everybody seems to blame it on other. Let's do something... even a small deed would count if we advertise it to best of our strengths.

Corruption is the fifth pillar of democracy .. well said in a lighter vain.

When U say this is in the boold in every Indian ... one question arises. Who remains on the other side ? Because .. on the other side remains those are affected. This number may be more than seventy percent who are hapless (millions) people.. daily income Rs. 20=00 or say ( a report says ). Even money sent to them by different Govts / agencies are eaten away by ..... !! ( see below )

Most probably U have addresed this to the rest thirty percent . Then, not "every Indian" is-itnot ?

But again, amongst this chunk some 20 % may not have any role to play .. just innocent people, consumers, service takers - givers, regular Tax payers, etc etc.!!

Now, question remains : how we may influence this 10% Indians and urge them not to indulge in corruption ? On Internet, your posting/s are watched by the whole world. May not they form a biased openion of us Indians ? One of our member on TooStep has asked us to be " proud of being an Indian " and thinks otherwise ?

The Govt is well aware of the phenomena. Our PM is addressing this issue time and again. We all, the 90% of the population may come forward to check corruption. Campaign like 'Jagoree' by TataTea or anyother ? Or .... ( ur suggestion counts ) ?

Irrelevant question. Why blame entire genre for the misdoings of a handful? Its a phenomena the wold over, then why single out Indians like this? Self ethics and high principles are what can primarily inculcate high values in individuals, whether Indians or any other citizen of the world.

generalising that all blood is corrupted by corruption is not right yes certain section of society is so but a large section of people are still uncorrputred and still living true to the noncorruption belief one blac sheep in the heard does not mean the whole flock is full of black. we have large expereinces where good people have stood up against corruption.but the main weakness is that we do not raise our voice against it.let us not lose hope in this system young generation are coming and we will pave proper path to them

Of course not, there is small section of society which has come under this evil but majority is still out of this. Yes on the face of it, because things are so slow that it gives a feel that whole machinery has become corrupt but thats not the case. It is too harsh to a statement for a nation of this size.

hello first of all how can you can frame such a question..????? the thing is that no one is born corrupt....and there are some corrupt persons in india but that too a small amount of total population, but these corrupt peoples are in some important public positions(.so i guess you may think that corruption is in blood )...here comes the problem, bcz of this situation someone get attached to corruption unwillingly....i mean if you do not bribe a officer your file will not get forwarded ...so you also become part of corruption....indians lack the motivation or courage to through away these corrupt officials ..also the Govt. do  not act in the right way...!!!

As regards to Mr. Sanjeevji, You put up the echo's of real people's like VAT, TAXes, Donations etc. I presume, Reservation for weaker sections develop corruption. It may be an attributing factor. The uplifted personnel are supposed to be trained by experienced guys in the same section/ dept. But, what happen. Alas, he exploits him rather than to train and fit for the job. This, gap is to be reduced. But, not by allowing, reservations. It has to be there. Otherwise, the gap between will widen up to an extent that we can not bridge them. The system loop-holes are to be plugged in by appropriate corrective measures. Thats what we call democracy. Everyone has equal rights irrespective of caste, religion or region. There are companies which aspire to give equal opportunity to all employees as a policy. So, it is accounted for in life.Just, reservation can not be a factor. May be to an extent, as explained here.

Blood of All Humans is same everywhere. It just gets clinically bad.... "Corruption" is in the mind... its an impression of ones mind.... And so it all depends on the impression one has allowed to be formed on his/her mind... Blood has nothing to do....Our Indian Blood is as pure, as religious and as clean as of others in the rest of the world.

Saying that corruption is in the blood of every Indian is outrageous.  According to me, corruption has to be a brain related matter (mind) as no one is born corruptone.  One becomes corrupt by choice or the circumstances make a person corrupt. Corruption exists in every country.  Only difference is that in India, corruption exists at every level and unlike other countries, most common people have to wade through corruption in India.

This is a national issue and the Government is solely responsible for this.  I am sure that people will choose not to be corrupt if the system does not allow it. To give an example, in Mumbai, most of the sign posts (whether right turn is allowed or not) is kept in a inconspicous place and the cops will be prompt in catching you and will also tell you that they have put up a signpost.  If you argue, you will not only be fined but also threatened of action for interfering a Public servant from performing his DUTIES.

I find that Mumbai Mirror is doing great service in unearthing a number of issues.

God created this world, he can ony find a way to save it.

you cannot say corruption is in the blood of indians because India is still standing and that too tall.

a country cannot be build if every person is corrupted. and before making such a statement you need to consider yourself...if you are an indian...do you think you are corrupt?

if you are do think all Indians are corrupt, start cleaning up your home.

People don have it in blood. its all about the opportunity. not all people are job or in a situation to get bribe. Just bcos the a cream of people do, we cant say every1 is corrupted.

Take this example: government hospital: you got to pay to get a free seat.

who is the wrong person?? one who gives or takes??
