not everywhere...old people are dominating the youngsters to provide new ideas they do not consider the ideas of young guns...(it may not be for all old people, but most of them). boss take a look on those ideas...think over it for long term if it is not suitable then reject it....appreciate the young guns....to generate more innovative ideas.... remember young guns are the future of our country....

No. Unfortunately this is being done as a routine. A casual approach. Giving a task of a making a house/ garden or paint a picture or singing a popular b'wood  stuff does not express as a serious approach of training the young minds with creativity.

Our youngsters are more creative which was dormant in yesteryears. This is basically due to the advent of technological advancements in every sphere of activity. They have multi-mode thinking and tries to do everything on a fast-track. You are reminded of an ad, where an youngster says, "Thinking is just a Waste of Time" - therefore, they believe in fast action and are prepared to face any consequences arising out such activities.

I have my doubts.

It is a fact that students , or anyone else for that matter , has more opportunities to think for himself , and also to bring his ideas to fruition.

The only issue is whether all is this is happening due to conscious efforts , on the part of schools , colleges and employers , or is it that everyone is moving with the times , and adapting himself to the changes that are a part of life nowadays.

If you consider roads and traffic , you can have traffic moving faster because you have faster vehicles and better roads , or you can have faster traffic because everyone is in a hurry !

Are our schools and colleges and companies consciously encouraging creativity ? Going by the standardised curriculum and syllabus , and the emphasis on results , I am not so sure.

The essence of creativity is that the methods are more important ; results may or may not follow.

Students , both at school and at college , should be encouraged to ask questions , for which there may not be ready-made answers available. They should also not be discouraged from attempting something on the grounds that it will not work. In creativity , it is failures which ultimately lead to success ; trial and error is wholly acceptable in creative thinking , whereas it is an absolute no-no in logical thinking.

creativity is something which brings unexplored and unknown things to existence only through human mind. creativity is essential everywhere from a simple drawing to a big novel.  at school you learn what others learn. in college you choose courses like the maximum.at work you just follow what your boss instructs you to.. a mind without creativity is just like dustbin.

youngsters today are very much creative.. but its not being rightly encouraged! encouragement is a good feed for effective thinking and creativity.. but often poeple are very careful in letting thier words encourage someone. it might be a friend next to you or yo family member, or yo subordinate or student..

frustration on others development is one of the reason..

if you cant think well, let others to..

It is encouraged but today`s youth is behind the point to prove themselves in an imaginary rat race to stay ahead of competition.

YES! Creativity is encouraged and welcome by all. We are witnessing this in the digital media. May be we people can encourage youngsters to add a tinge of social/humanity to their creativity.

Yes it is but youngsters are not utilizing it, instead they copy or steal idea. For example take the projects done by the final year students in colleges most of them don't do it properly instead they modify the old one or buy it from out side......
