This is most worthless and childish kind of debate. We all know that that is not going to happen anytime soon. This might happen but if it happen it would take thousands of years for happening so, probably more. Besides this I was going through a research survery of a researcher and what he had written was earth has capability of fighing back any accident by itself, after seeing that the speed of melting down is declining automatically this supports the statement of earth having capacity of improving itself.

We are mortal beings. We will perish when the time comes, not Earth. Mayan civilization could do their calculations upto 21st December 2012 does not mean that the world will not exist beyond that! That's their shortcoming. Indian Panchang is much better and has predictions for ages. Yes. Vices and wicked would be punished, some natural disasters predicted during this period. Japan tsunami and aftermath effect of nuclear leakages (man made) are some of the examples. Antartic, due to greenhouse effect and ozone layer depletion will melt forcing deluge of certain areas adjacent to that.
