These days, many salaried employees have started looking at entrepreneurship as a new way to express themselves and showcase their creativity and they are doing this by sticking to their current jobs for the financial security it gives them.

The new 'service entrepreneurs' are providing convergence and multi-tasking a fresh meaning. They not only work in regular jobs but also run their own business. These businesses may range from libraries, boutiques, coaching classes, service centres, garages, shops and portals to restaurants. The IT sectors work on a five day week to give employees free time to start their own business.

So users, do you think Entrepreneurship is a field for salaried employees?

Thanks for invite Sujatha,

See no reason on " Why Not?"

If a person engaged in job realizes he can perform better with little freedom and has the capability to take risk there is nothing wrong in venturing into own initiate.

Of course starting a simultaneous business while in a job is unethical.

We never know when the ideas evolve in our mind. It is good to start immediately when we think that the idea which we are thinking will work. Irrespective of the situation a person is he can be become good entrepreneur if is having the passion to drive that idea.

Entrepreneurship develops creativity and brings to fore the unutilized talent which was dormant in him. A calculated move will shape him as a prudent businessman in future. Any innovation useful for common man at a massive scale will make a great business sense.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP TAKEN UP IN A SMALL WAY BY SALARIED EMPLOYEES  CAN ALSO BE A TESTING GROUND TO GO OUT IN FULL SWING.THEY CAN ASSESS THEIR CAPABILITIES TO RUN A BUSINESS OF THEIR OWN.OR CAN SERVE AS A SOURCE FOR ADDITIONAL INCOME TO INCREASE THEIR LIFESTYLE.

Entrepreneurship is the best for any one with great ideas!! And, If it is really possible for some one to venture into entrepreneurship along with their regular salaried job, then it is infact the fabulous opportunity for those kind of ppl.Why i am saying this because most of the ppl starts own business only after leaving their job, which put them into huge financial risk; and no family and friend supports for it.

Many just keep thinking whole of their life to start their own business but the moment they think of leaving their current job, they get scared and finally give up their thought to becoming business man.

Therefore, i advocate salaried ppl to venture into their own business. But, this is feasible only for certain types of small businesses.

I support Mr Sharma here,,,knack,,Knowledge,,risk taking attitude & perseverance,,,then why not?

Also,,a salaried professional can do even better utilizing his/her experience/contacts/skills gained so far... in the self owned venture...I suppose,,,as it reduces the risks & chances of loss,,,

And yes,,,,it sounds unethical,, simultaneously doing that....with your job,,,

Thanks for the referral Sujatha...

Risk is part of business. If one can think that he is capable to handle the business then with calculated risk he have to go for that.

I don't think so because salaried employees are busy doing their jobs. They don't have spare time to think upon new ideas. So according to me only ideal people and business men can be good entrepreneurs.

I don't think this is a good idea for salaried employees who have experience only in working under others and not having any business background. Its not easy to become a success in a business. If "No experienced" persons go for this, there is very few chances of success.
