I think public companies are the main reason. Most of the global company collaborate or merge with public companies. The reason being it has a huge amount of user/customer base.

Welcome Ted to Toostep. It is definitely based on public companies as they are the movers and shakers of business on a large scale. They are the ones who can deploy a large human capital in the country they operate in.

You are right Jagdish . Most of Today's Leading Brands once started as home companies and due to the compulsion and the Resources needed for SURVIVAL & EXPANSION  could not be mobilized by Home Companies and they become Public Companies .

Home Companies can be start ups . But Once it starts going it has to be public companies.

Thanks for the referral Mr.Jagadish and in my opinion it is public companies which are the best choice. However, I am not against the home based business.

Here the vital point to be noted is the volume of capital involved in large measures that can be easily mobilized through public companies, say, inviting shares/contribution from the public and also from the financial institutions. Hence greater and faster growth can be achieved in a better way than the home based business where it has some limitations in raising funds in the appropriate time to meet the emergency requirements.

The  sales figures of public companies can't be compared with home cased businesses. Mostly the home based businesses are unreported or underreported but definitely on a lower scale...

Global business development is predominantly based on public companies. As the public companies have a bigger size, they drive growth at the global level.

However, home based businesses in specific segments also contribute their mite for the global business development growth even though they are generally small in size. Due to sheer volume, they also contribute to global growth...

Thanks for the referral, Jagdish...

Because of the tendency to out-source , more & more from developing countries, business prefer Home based. Be it manufacturing accessories or data collection, distance education etc.
