Choosing between a between a government job and a job in the private sector may be a bit difficult. Traditionally, government jobs have been considered safe with no or little threat of job loss, especially when job opportunities in the private sector were not. But today there are many taking up private jobs because the opportunuties in government sector is very low. So many people working in pvt sector lost their job at the time of recession. So if we take the job security, the government jobs are better.

According to my point of view govt job is secure but nowadays lot of private concern are putting his employees as permanent with high compensation....but utilization of  ideas from under level to higher level mostly in private concern.... Thus the opportunity to come higher level is equal for all employees compared to govt.concern...

It is safe and secured type of employment. Whether u do the work or not salary is assued. In private sector u must be efficient and dynamic to perform your job. If u r not efficient u will be demoted r will be sacked. In Govt. no such threats. at the most  theconcerned person will be transferred to other dept where his efficiency is not reqd. at all.

In a "mixed economy" like ours, answering such a question is a bit difficult.

Answer may be : conditions apply.

Govt jobs are much satisfying as it does not effect ur social life much.. hence one can enjoy his/her life.... Money does not effect much these days govt jobs are also at good price.... and one get enuf time to maintain the job pressure.. Only problem is motivation and slow growth.. But if u r keen to taste Sweet and bitter at time then go for pvt job.. Else nothing compares govt job...

Government jobs are always a better option when you want a secured future. In the recession times we have come to understand the complexities and waywardness of private companies and their policies.

A person working in government sector has more flexibility, a methodical approach, long term planning and a growth proportional to the rising inflation. I personally would suggest a person should first work in government sector and after learning the competencies and skills should serve in private sector, he will definitely have a great life

HI,

In government jobs we the subject have to work within the frame work of govt rules and policies.certainty is there but job satisfaction is too far from expectation.

In a private job the ever changing rules and policies suffer you with very flexible thought for floating afloat.the uncertainty is great.the subject, who can manage the ever changing bosses attitude and ever changing rules or ever changing interpretation of policies and still can float survives with better pay and perks compared to govt job. the job satisfaction is possible in a private job.

Govt job is inorganic and private job is organic in nature.

Kind Regards

No the Govt jobs are not good at all, theh make a person complicant ,  lethargic and h starte taking things for granted

There is no discipline at all, no value for tiem, no TAT, no time lines

In Pvt sector you have a;l

TAT

Tiem lines

Targets and you knwo value for money

Yes in Govt service you get pension but the hike in salary is miniscule and nothing compared to Pvt sector

The opportunities in Private job is vast. Your career growth depends according to your performance and Salary and incentive are also the best in private sector.

It depends on the individual person's thinking and attitude.

If the candidate is competent, I believe Private Jobs are better. You will have more avenues to choose and can have all-round development. If you think somebody is monitoring you, then you will feel more responsible to do what you are supposed to do.

Whereas Government jobs, may be secured and least responsibilities and less burdens. You will not go out of your perimeter, you can't learn / update new technologies.

Comparatively Private Companies will have more productivity than Government companies.

That is the reason Government also thinking towards privatization to increase the productivity.

Personally, I would like to be in private sector only.

A person come out from any of the private sector can survive anywhere but the person come out from government sector may not.

In Government job there is less workload, more free time, lot of benefits, time bound promotions, pension after retirements etc. But at the same time in Government job you will find no recognition for talent or efficiency. All are treated equally. Whereas in private jobs only a person is talent and efficient one can survive and also more talented person will also get additional benefits like increase in pay, promotions and special recognitions.

According to me govt job is not better than a private job because in govt job security is there but job satisfaction and getting promotional alliance is very difficult but in case of private jobs getting higher level is possible if an individual works hard and job satisfaction is also there. In a govt job, an individual works according to his time when he is free and willing to work at that time, where as he or she works acoording to the needs of company. That is why the govt affairs take so long time to be solved out as 30% govt employees does not work properly and that is why private sector is emerging as a huge power in developing the indian economy. thank you.

If we follow any Business Model, the concept of security in economics is farce. It depends on an individual to decide his/ her career path. The aptitude of an individual towards his goals and objective is the most important factor in deciding his/ her career path.

As far as Govt/Private jobs are concerned, these are one among many alternatives available to the youth of today. Like if I have money to invest, I have alternatives:

1.Bank FD 2.MF 3.Equity 4.Commodity 5. Metals etc/etc.

So obviously my choice of selection will depend on my requirements/aspiration/risk aversion etc, etc.

In a nut shell, i only mean to say that let us not opiniate  of Govt/Private jobs for others. Let the individual decide what is best for him. We should respect their individual choice.
