Yes. As per WORLD BANK INDICATOR, we are in the lower middle income group. That's , obviously, a developing nation. However, it changes in every fiscal year.Watch out.

I would vote for 'developing'. While this is not such a common way to refer to India given the pace of growth and development - if nothing else - a 'developing' label creates a sense of urgency and prevents a situation of complacency. Given the need for ongoing efforts in all the major sectors such as infrastructure, agricultural reforms, population control, sustained financial reforms we cannot slow down or live under the false perception that we are now a developed nation.

I think India is a developing country.Although in last 15yrs lot of development  takes place in the country but still we have to improve in lot of areas like education, health, infratructure, tourism etc.

Technically it is though there is no formal definition to the best of my knowledge. Generally the OECD countries are considered as developed countries (rather, economies) and the rest are all developing countries. The UN also recognises least developed countries i.e. the LDCs.

It is surely developing in terms of population and corruption or individualistic terms.

In production, progress, innovation, alleviation of poverty and as one nation it is surely not.

for ex:we import commodities of 13,45,600 crores from 180 countries but we export only 8,39,340 crores over 220 countries. the main thing which we have to rethink is that are we managing the resources available in our country because development  in foreign trade ll show exponential development in the growth of the country
