Superpower India. Hey guys India was once before a super power in the world prior to the British colonial era.  Many nations wanted to take a part of India for themselves in those days.  India has tasted strength much before the rest of the world could even dream of it.  Because of various corrupt colonial powers that took control of India, we faced many hardships and over the years we have learnt to overcome our hardships and grow in such a pace that there is no other nation that can be compared to us.  We talk of the Chinese...look at them...what are they up to....look at their borders.....they are now advancing into India.....grabbing more territories around it....shows that China is not satisfied with what they already have.  India on the other hand is much more stable in many respects.  We handled the Bombay crisis with restraint though we had a green signal to start a war with Pakistan.  Now we are still quiet though China is advancing into India.  It looks like the world cannot get enough out of India.  They are still looting our borders.  This all shows that India is even today a strength and that nations want to have a piece of this cake.  I am confidant that India is already feared to be a SUPERPOWER in its making and is feared by China and the west and this can be seen if we closely monitor the situation building up around us globally.  The Indians are the pioneers in the field of engineering and technology, medical field etc.  Who are responsible for the growth in all those fields.  We can see that many scientists from the west are actually the sons of the Indian soil.

Bravo to India.  Salute to my motherland India.  Hats off to the SUPERPOWER India.  India, we indians have failed to see your strength.  The foreign nations fear your power.

We still couldn't out of the rank of 3rd highest corrupted country. Economy is increasing but nothing is happening to common man. We still have more than 50000 jobless engineers roaming for jobs. I don't think will all these problems, we can dream of becoming a superpower now...

Yes, considering the Economical strength, India and China would stand far above US & UK or any other rich countries around the world. India doesnt depend on any unstable industry to keep their economy strong. Even today agriculture is the major reason for Indian Strong Economy. About 70% of the economic growth still comes from agriculture. So we can definitely say that India is one of the super powers in todays economy world. Regards, Anna George. Web Analyst. if the forbes magazine and two of the top economists are to be believed, india will be the greatest superpower in world history . we were a superpower till the 18 th entury, and willl still be in the neat future. I am not sure whether this will happen before china's turn comes or not, but yes the golden bird will fly high in the sky. moreover due to the one child policy of china, her population would grow so old that it will hamper government offices in the nation. China may become a superpower before india, but by the time when india becomes the superpower, america and china would have already lost their superpower status.

I think India is becoming a superpower in one or the other way. Its already said that India and China will become a superpower by 2020. Even though India lack infrastructure it will maintain a supreme power in the year 2020 by achieving the control. We can see that there are many Millionaires and Billionaires in India and its increasing every year.

Each and every year many are entering the FORBES magazines Billionaire list. So we can believe it will a supreme power in recent years.

In the recent economic crisis, India was the least effected country. Rupee's power against dollar is increasing daily. India is taking over many industries across the world. Number of millionaires in India is increasing. All these clearly says very soon India is going to become the next superpower....

Arguable no. We need to develop infrastructure in all sectors and ensure Market Reach in all sectors and services. Institutional strengthening is a pre requisite and clear cut policies are a must.

It is my hope that India, being one of the oldest cultures in the world...and therefore having a reservoir of wisdom which is, in many respects, unparalleled in the world...would opt for sustainability and the common good for its people and its neighbors rather than some headlong pursuit of material excess for its elite.

There are lot of other things to do before India become SUPERPOWER, We are on the right track to become one, the testimony of it is today's market which shown growth over 300 + upward swing, it is due to right budget and economy policy made by government.

But there are lots of things like development of rural India, education for all, health across category, trade across the globe, opportuinities for max ....lot of other things which need to be attained before we become superpower. India should have controlling stake on world's economy then only we can think of attaining that status.

Super power title can be claimed only when your corporations become global MNCs and huge assest holding across India. Compared to China's investments across India's progress is very tiny. Also our influence in UN, World Bank, EU, G10 etc - we are not even having permanent membership there in the core decision making boards.

i totally disagree with statement that india has become a global superpower though it is on its  way to become one and has made its presence felt in global arena .but there is long way to go .considering asian bilatetral ties india is yet to make an impression because it is still not part of APEC NATIONS which is need of these times to unleash the potential trade oppurtunities lies in south asia .moreover ,global downturn has been a proof that indian economy is highly dependent on west and is prone to threats they are facing.china on other hand has successfully taken asian countries (most them are india's neghbouring )into its stride.
