Well no where in the world an eight track road is made thinking of future generation will have lot of vehicles. the infrastructure is made according to the requirements. We have still a growing economy, we have to still make the facilities according to the requirements. We should not be forgetting the generation is still alive here using bullock chart. India is defiantly growing. So any one can buy a car, the roads will be widened.

A nation’s infrastructure development plays a significant role in its economic growth. A fast growing economy warrants an even faster development of infrastructure. Number of vehicles in India are increasind day by day, but we are not able to meet the growing traffic in out country. But there are many infrastructure projects taken up by the govt.to meet the needs like building highways and metros in the cities. So lets wait for the change.

I dont think the infra structure is ready for what exists now completely. However, that is an ideal situation. In an economy such as ours, demand definitely drives it. So there can only be a catch up game. Proactive building is definitely not possible nor is it s easy as it sounds.

However, i must point out that urban infrastructure is definitely gearing up gradually t o meet the requirements though it has a long way to go.

Infrastructure can never be fully ready to meet the needs of the automobile population. But we are definitely getting there.

I agree with George. Roads are widened and rebuilt by supply and demand. Since your new 2K vehicle release, this make a car affordable to allot more people, hence the roads will be expanded just due to the supply and demand rules.

definitely India is not ready to meet the requirements of growing number of automobiles. though government is taking some steps to widen the roads n making flyovers, it is making the situation more worse than good creating inconvenience to people. firstly, system has to be tightened n prioritized. above all, things should be time bounded. unless there is sincerity n dedication, India will remain  under the category "still developing country"!

In my view we are yet to ready. Most of the automobiles (Particularly Four Wheelers) are being used in cities, which increase the high road traffic. Of course govt is taking many steps (like fly overs) to reduce the traffic, but its not meeting requrements of road users 100%.

We have to build our infrastructure which meets the degree of increase of automobles sales.

I donot think that we are ready to meet the requirements of increasing traffic. As Indian roads are not well constructed and they are the worst in the world.
