Yes India do have the potential like when mobile services were launched few years back and now today there is a big difference in the quality and features. Except for few there was no one to provide the services but today we have many options and every company is trying to cover the maximum area of operations and provide better service and now every second person is holding a cell phone in hand and every 4th person is aware of internet or using some services. So I think it's very much possible.

I think yes, with such a large population with majority of them being youths, India comes among the top 10 countries with Internet users and Mobile phone users. In this condition, it is very good opportunity of online and mobile entrepreneurs doing business, as they can get lot of customers here.

Mobile penetration is still in its infancy in India and it is still only the voice communication (till recently) and SMS (off late) that are leading the way. We are yet to see the growth interms of the data transfer (3G - recently introduced). This when it happens, will lead to picture based communication (to avoid the hassles of literacy- in India we are atill only 60% literate) which will translate into high amount of entreprenurs who will be mobile, as they can program stuff immediately and launch it. Though this is far fetched, I think we should see the light of it in a 5 years max.

Manpreet, I don't know about farming on the internet but in Malaysia, Africa and China, mobile companies are using this feature to let users transfer small amounts of money to their family. Same can be replicated in rural India or Bharat.

There's a lot going on in the field of mobile payments. Recently Western Union and the GSM Association started work to develop a cross-border money-transfer service that would work in any country with a GSM network. Together, the two companies are building the technology that would allow customers to transfer funds with their mobile phones. Over 35 GSMA operators in over 100 counties will be enrolled in the program, so you’ll be able to get your shop on no matter where you are. If you have a unique idea that solves an existing problem, there's place at the high table for you. Welcome!

There is HUGE potential. Question is are we geared INFRASTRUCTURALLY for such high end, high use businesses??? Even today there are electricity cuts in our top B+ developing towns. How will businesses survive when they have to run on inverters and GENSETS??? I have my doubts. Starting a business through online usage linked to mobiles is not only innovative but convenient too. If the business is going to encounter constant nags and snags... It is a pity that we cannot really be equal in distribution and usage of a simple basic necessity like electricity yet!!

I have thought of it for quite some time. In fact, I have discovered after eight years of research, a way to reverse the human ageing process or at least to delay it. My treatment does not involve medicines and is non-invasive. I could easily advise patients online. I would then have a worldwide audience also. Still I have a doubt at the back of my mind... I am not sure I could take a sure step forward, if I focus on online entrepreneurship instead of a regular approach. I am therefore striving to make an entry in a world dominated by professional ego rather than human welfare!
