There is many people around us who do not the know the power of internet. They either give out information that they should not or they do not even know how to google things. All of us who are using this portal are aware of the use of internet , its advantages and disadvantages but there is a big mass of people who is still unaware. Is it the case in India alone or this is true globally? Do you think eople in India are far behins in understanding the power of internet ?

The technology comes from the western corner, so does the expertise. The "computers" in India dates back in late 80's when the west was already in the thick of its usage. Indians are surely on the back foot in terms of its wide applicability and will take time to come to terms on global format.

yes but it need to get detail knowledge. People are aware with basic use or basic things, people do not know detail . Some people are trying to get knowledge and some are not. If you will analyze the youth people, almost every youth are aware with internet and its use. But the ratio may like plus or minus in detail knowledge. It will fulfill as soon. Thanks Sumitra for referal

As I have raised the subject I am in for it. I can understand if someone does not like networking but I have seen people who do not know networking. There are peole who do not understand what are the key wrods and how can they use them to searh the right things. Chaning the world, or revolution are far away calls they cannot use it for simle purposes as well.

In India people are well aware of the internet technology and if you take the survey results, rate of internet users in India are increasing rapidly every year. Also if we consider the usage of social medias, India would stand in one among the top ten places. But it is true that the Indians are reluctant to make use of the internet technology fully. For example, Indians really don't try shopping via internet, which we call as ecommerce. We are worried to buy products online. Unledd the product is touched and felt, we Indians show reluctance to buy any product. All these attitude has to change because if we shop via internet we can buy products for a much cheaper price than we get in shops. This change would also slowly happen in India. In short, Indians are never behing in making use of the internet Technology. Regards, Anna George. Web Analyst. Nichepro Technologies. Bangalore. http://www.nichesuite.com

Indian audiences learn very fast. But it depends; if you hve exposure to technology, you will learn fast, but if you don't you will need to be taught everything step by step!!! I have to add here that chatting is not a bad thing. It is better than open prostitution, and multiple relationships junkeys!!!
