Intra-preneurship, is something like, making employees as co-owners.

And in this regard the future group of companies headed by Mr. Ashok Biyani is doing the same thing and is acquiring talent like anything where he took Mr. V. vaidyanathan of ICICI prudential life, may be for his Future generali Insurance company, but what striked Mr. Vaidyanathan to join the company was likely to pick up a stake in the financial services business he will be spearheading. “I feel like a promoter,” says Mr. vaidyanathan.  “This is different from the career path I’ve enjoyed so far.”  Similarly several big shots are on their way to join Future group with intra-preneurship thing in mind.

So, what do you think people, Is Intra-preneurship the next mantra for retaining talent?

I think yes as, we want people to promote the idea of ‘intra-preneurship’ in organizations. It removes insecurities and fears from the minds of people and the commitment levels go up sharply. People then begin to enjoy what they do.  So intrapreneurship can be the next mantra for retaining talent and also get new talent which is best out there.

Its just a new word that is being given here, and there is nothing new in this, even earlier people were doing these things, what is talent poaching then, if you are giving something better than what they are getting obviously people will go for that change, and there might be something others who might offer an employee much better benefits than these, and people will go, so I don't think Intra-preneurship will help in retaining talent.

INTRA-PRENURESHIP THAT IS CO-OWNING,MAY BE THE MANTRA OF RETAINING THE TALENT WHICH IS BEST AVAILABLE THERE .THIS IS BECAUSE A PERSON CAN JUDICIALLY GET THE RETURN OF HIS DEEDS.

Hello Namrata, You are right. I agree with you. It is better to share the profit with the senior Mangers and also down the line. By doing this company will grow and the staff will not think of leaving the company.

Definitely..This is a right and a strategic move towards retaining and nurturing talent. In fact, it is a sign of mutual interest for people and the organization. Moreover, this will enable leaders to utilize their skills and competencies in 360 degree for the growth and prosperity of the business and the external environment.

Talent search and engaging the talent in India is a  tough job. Today in every sphere of life talented people is required to run the business efficiently and smoothly. Now  present era of the changing world is shifting from Entrapreneure to technopreneure and cyberpreneur to Intr-preneure. Everywhere 3 D is required i.e. Determination, Dedication & Devotion wheather s/he is a entrapreneure or intra-preneure.

I am in total agreement with you but unfortunately most of the standing Indian Companies and the joint venture companies will not do the same till they feel there is a crunch of talent.

I am of the openion may be within next half decade this may become the thumb rule since there are other benifits are attached with it like the share holding is not taxable etc.

Intrapreneuraship has been around for quite some time in many companies. This is an important tool to deal with War for Talent and to promote employee retention.

Intrapreneurs are those who think can think beyond the horizons and bring innovative ways of work culture. So, they need to be retained in the best interest of the organization.  Recognizing them is the responsibility of the organisation.

Employees feel an added sense of responsibility when they have a stake in the way an enterprise is run. It would be a good practice to make them feel responsible with a sense of ownership.
